item was bought apr 15 and sat on the counter two days until apr 17, when we went to grill hot dogs. upon opening the package, i realized it had a big mold patch on the bottom! from the look of the mold, it was probably already molding on the shelf. the use by date was april 23, so it should have been good for a week! i'm going to start spending more to buy ballpark next time.

If only these were split top!
These are some awesome hot dog buns - delicious, affordable, wholesome. Only one drawback here - hot dog buns much be split top and these are NOT. As a result they fall apart and are just tricky to keep neat, presentable and appetizing upon serving. I wish these were offered as a split top variety - the only way hot dog buns make sense!
