    Childhood Revisited

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy Strawberry Shortcake bars with regularity. The taste is reminiscent of my childhood, yelling "STOP" for the ice cream man in the white van so I can purchase a bar. The flavors mix well and are creamy with the definitive coating adding to the overall taste sensation.

    Where are the cake crumbs?!?!

    I purchased my second box this week only to open all 6 and see there were little to no cake crumbs. Very disappointed!

    Terrible-strong chemical taste and foreign matter

    Terrible, terrible, terrible sums it up! We purchased multiple boxes of these and the first bar we opened had a black chip of what felt like plastic on the outside crumb part. We threw it away and decided to try another one from the package. Very flavorless but not wanting to be wasteful I still continued eating it only to find out halfway through it had a very strong chemical (maybe artificial flavor) taste to it, so I immediately spit it out. My adult daughter was also eating one with me and got a bite with a strong chemical taste too which caused her to vomit. Quality control is completely gone on these which is sad because they used to be a favorite of ours. One shouldn't have to inspect each bite for foreign matter, nor should there be such inconsistency with flavors, etc. I threw away 1 1/2 boxes and will never purchase a Good Humor product again!

    Awful Chemical taste

    These used to be my favorite thing to eat in the 70's and 80's . I got it off the ice cream truck driving through the neighborhood every time.. My son also born in the 90's What are these now? These just taste like chemicals. Awful. These poor young kids these days are never going to know how good, food used to taste. It's so sad.. We will NEVER buy these again. Now i am going to eat some REAL ice cream after this.

    Shrinkage is real!

    Did I get a bad batch? 2 out of the 6 bars were the full size, the other 4 were the size of a small lamb chop.

    Disgusting

    I took a bite and spit it out and then I let my boyfriend try it because I thought maybe it was just me but he spit it out too. It's disgusting idk if it's the baking soda that's in it but these are so awful now.

    Absolutely awful.

    This is awful. Pathetic, really. Where is all of the crumb coating? Like what did I just eat? And clearly after reading some reviews I'm not alone on this. If you're going to make the product suck, just stop offering it. Way to ruin a good product guys.

    A good ice cream bar

    I love those ice cream bars. Eat them almost every week so good. It feel like you eating a cereal and protein bar. You should definitely try it and won’t regret it.

    It literally made me throw up

    My stomach became very upset after eating one of these Good Humor strawberry shortcake fake ice cream bars. I ended up having to stop work and use a public restroom so I could throw up and my vomit was bright pink and as soon as I vomited I felt better and went back to my work truck to check the ingredients and realize they are almost all artificial ingredients. It was very flavorless and icy when I ate it and I could tell that there was probably no real dairy in it. I will definitely not be eating one of these again since they don't taste good and they are bad for you and they make me physically ill.

    Terrible! Bring back old recipe!

    These are terrible. The recipe change is the worst. These used to be so good, bring back the old recipe. The chewy weird coconut texture on the outside and the inside lacks any flavor. No thanks, will not be purchasing. These companies need to listen to customers. Would love to have the nostalgic taste of the old ones back, what a disappointment.

    These are the absolute BEST treats and will take u back in time to your childhood. Sweet yet light. It is hard to only eat one. I LOVE them.. Unwrap the bar in bright sunlight, capturing the creamy layers and cake coating close-up as you take the first bite.

    Not as good as they used to be

    These strawberry shortcake bars used to be my favorite ice cream treat. But in the past few years they are disappointing. The look good but the taste is like cardboard and not the flavor I loved.

    Strawberry Short Cake falling very short

    I have been a fan of this product for a very long time. I don't know what happened to it, but there is ice cream around the strawberry anymore and basically all you have is literally strawberry water ice covered with sprinkles. It's sad to say but it's nowhere near where the product used to be to the point where it's nothing like it should be. Good Humor should be ashamed for the changes they made, probably to save money and the product is suffering. Don't buy it.
