    Horrible Reformulation: Ordered This One But Got Reformulation

    I loved this product, but I really hate the new "version." They reformulated and changed the name slightly to "Glowing Radiance Shea Sugar Scrub" still coconut & hibiscus. It is nothing like the old one. I have tried desperately to stock up on the old one but have had to return about 10 jars at this point. SHEAMOISTURE: Please go back to the old, truly wonderful product and ditch this sad impostor.

    Miss the old formula

    Used to be my favorite scrub and I used it for years. Still smells wonderful, but with the formula change it’s more foamy and creamy and little to no exfoliating scrub. The original version was much drier so blending the 2 formulas might make a perfect creamy exfoliating scrub. Sadly, I’m looking for a new brand.

    Meh....

    This used to be my absolute favorite body scrub. However, when the packaging changed, so did the consistency and abrasiveness of the scrub. It still smells really good, but it's now just like every other mediocre body scrub. I won't be buying it again.

    I loved the original version, but the new version is completely different! The original was much drier which gave you such a good exfoliation. The new version hardly exfoliates. The oils are moisturizing and the scent is the same, but the results are very different. So sad!!!

    The scent is nice and it makes my skin soft however it seems like the formula changed and the new texture is a bit strange and it doesn’t exfoliate as effectively. I have purchased this a couple times in the past and liked it a lot, but I wouldn’t buy this again sadly.

    Perfect Match

    A (literally) watered down version of its former s

    I have bought the Shea Moisture brand for years, specifically this scrub. It smelled amazing, and was a really good grainy scrub that left my body feeling super soft. I bought the reformulated version and I am so disappointed. It is watered down now and has barely any grit to it that made the old version such a great scrub. I also noticed (since this product has sat in my shower for years) that they have removed the name of Shea Moisture's founder (Sofi Tucker) off the back of the package, and now call her "a pioneering mother of four and entrepreneur". I was so disappointed to see Sofi's name removed -it feels like the company is intentionally trying to distance itself from her origin story which is what made the brand feel special to me in the first place. If you look closely at the reviews and ignore all the incentivized Influenster reviews, you'll see many others agree with me. Due to this and the product change I will be looking for a new scrub/brand as the brand is sadly nothing special anymore.

    Changed, and not for the better

    I have used this scrub for years. It used to be so good - in addition to the amazing scent it had a "grit" to it that no other scrub matched. They reformulated it - the ingredient list looks less "clean", and now feels watered down and not at all like a good scrub. I am also really bummed because they removed mention of Sofi Tucker's name (inventor of Shea Moisture) on the back of the package, now referring to her as a generic "mother of four and entrepreneur". I don't know why but this really rubbed me the wrong way and left me feeling like the brand is a watered down version of its former self, and not really worth going out of the way to buy anymore. I'm sadly now looking for a new holy grail scrub.

    Bring back original formula

    This scrub was our family go to it exfoliated and hydrated I use to recommend it all the time. Sadly the new formula ain't it. It doesn't exfoliate and it left my skin feeling extremely dry. Please go back to original formula nothing was wrong with it.

    NOT ORGINAL!

    LISTEN!! This scrub is the only scrub that gets down to business. BUT I’ve been looking everywhere for the original and come to find out the company changed the formula. I will be sticking to tree hut because this not it!!

    This use to be my favorite exfoliator for years. But I recently bought it and realized they changed the formula. Scent smells different, texture is different and it’s less exfoliation than the older formula. It use to feel luxurious now it just feels/smells cheap. Disappointed.

    Not exfoliaring anymore

    Formula changed. Such a bummer. Use to be more of a real scrub. There’s a lot less sugar in it. It’s really more to hydrate the skin than to exfoliate. Won’t be purchasing again unfortunately.

    So moisturizing!
