Northlight Holiday House Christmas Advent Calendar - 15"

This Christmas countdown house did not disappoint!!! It was so much cuter in person. I bought it on clearance and can not wait to use it with my son this Christmas:) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I had a version of this house I bought from a Target store in 2008 and for my daughter and son. Now several years later my teens still love this tradition. The old house was dropped and repaired and well loved and still together. The knobs and hinges can be broken if handled too roughly, but we have had one for about 14 years. I wanted another for our guest room for the grandparents who bring so much joy to our house at Christmas. My mom loved opening up the doors to fine little treats and trinkets. This house is as loved as our first. It hopes several small candies. I can fit 4-6 Rolos/ Hershey kisses in the doors. I like to get these tiny chocolate Santas, bears and snowman that several stores sell. You can put several in these doors. The elves would the door the night before each day. I love the last big door (#25). We like to stalk it with a pile of chocolate coins. The doors open well and the magnets can hold them shut even when loaded. It is the perfect way to customize your Christmas count-down/up with special treats and prizes. These have given my kids and now grandparents so much joy. I have included some photos with candy to show how many you can fit in the smallest door and what 2 look like in the other larger doors. The small doors are about 1.5” square and 2.25” deep. I’d say this is decent. Not amazing but not awful either. Kind of right in the middle. Honestly, I’m torn a little on whether or not to give it 3 or 4 stars. The idea of it is super cute. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this came with two of the wooden pegs the door sticks too completely off with the magnet stuck to the door. Also, the peak of the house is not level that creates a gap. Again, I’m still happy I bought it, I’m sure it will get us a couple years at the very least, and my husband can fix what comes off.

Very sturdy and the drawers are nice. But the decorations have to be glued back on due to the foam and packaging.

This little house is just so beautiful! The doors open to a space wide enough for a sweet treat!
