Good idea. Bad quality.

Extremely hard to get the protective backer off. I ruined several pieces trying to separate the backer from the sticker. There's no pull tab and it's an extremely thin barrier. Additionally, whatever glue they use is terrible and has almost no tackiness. I had to run a very heavy object over it and even then several of them refused to stick. If they haven't stuck by tomorrow morning, then I'm pulling them all up and returning them.

Disappointing

These stair treads are thinner than what I have seen before. If I had known how thin they are I would have searched for something thicker that has a better look and feel. These feel like thin outdoor carpet, not indoor quality or soft. When I saw them in the box I thought to myself that buying something like this online is a mistake. But I installed them and they are in use - and no complaints from others. So they seem to be good enough for our basment stair treads.

Very happy

It took me a little while to figure out to get these to stick you apply them after wiping the step but before it’s completely dry. They stay in place and make the steps more visible and safe for our elderly parents.

Easy to vacuum and dont get ruined easily

For the price, it’s a good buy. They get dirty quickly (I got them for our senior pup) so you need to clean them frequently but they’re easy to vacuum and don’t get destroyed easily. They’re also not actually adhesive so that makes taking them off the steps easy and mess-free.

Cushioned yet sleek

These stair treads are not high pile, yet they provide nice cushioning. Sleek appeal. The patterned design is less noticeable on a few, although not enough to ruin the look or feel. They are more of a soft black than gray. To peel off the thin plastic backing for the stick-on underside exposure, use a needle or tack to start it, otherwise it is difficult. I used apholstery tacks to secure the treads, as I didn't think the sticky backs were a strong adhesive. Overall, I am very pleased with the treads.

Perfect complement for hardwood stairs

The film that reveals the self-adhesive backing is tricky to take off. But, I got the brown and they look lovely on my hardwood floors and they stay in place! They are super affordable and I highly recommend!

Perfect!

We put these on some slippery stairs between our dining room and our living room and they work perfectly. They stay in place while not causing damage to the floor, and they also do well being vacuumed. I couldn’t be happier!
