Abby is rebounding from a previous relationship gone bad. Lachlan’s marriage is dissolving. Then Abby loses her flat and Lachlan comes to the rescue. But they are just friends, right? I enjoyed Ms. McCallie’s view point of a newbie becoming familiar with the world of football(soccer). This book is being published at the same time that the World Cup is occurring in North America. It’s a fantastic way for someone who doesn’t know much about the sport to learn some about it. It brushes on some of the basic elements of the game but it also delves into the fervor of the fans who passionately enjoy it. It also describes how the sport can affect the lives of the professionals in it and the lives of those that are close to them. Any reader who likes to read about sports, especially football(soccer), and romance will enjoy this book.
