The Anova Precision Cooker 3.0 offers a range of features that enhance the sous vide cooking experience, including a user-friendly touch screen and improved heating power. However, guests have noted concerns about its reliability, with some experiencing issues like noise and connectivity problems. While the app provides advanced features, the subscription requirement has disappointed many. Overall, it is a decent option for those who appreciate precision cooking but may not be the most reliable choice.

Good but not perfect yet
After 9. 5 years the old version 2. 1 started losing power. Because of its age, the fact that WiFi didn’t connect anymore and also the control wheel jumped aroundee we decided to go for the 3. 0 version. It’s noisier than its predecessor. The touch screen is easy to operate. I hope that the clamp is a lot better than the old version (I broke two of them without doing anything weird). The fact that the app requires a subscription for the advanced features is a real disappointment. I was lucky enough to have a really old account, so I can still use it for free. You don’t need the app to use it but if you like the advanced features the subscription is a big disadvantage. The extra heating power can be nice for some but I’m used to starting with warm water anyway. The power cord is s bit longer than the previous one which is always nice. All in all a nice device with some improvements and some newly introduced disadvantages.

Terrible product, unacceptable customer support
This is the worst-quality immersion circulator I've owned of three brands. Within 6 months of receiving this product, the mount for it (which is 100% plastic) broke. I reached out to Anova customer support to find out where I could *purchase* a replacement and they told me it wasn't covered under warranty (?). Eventually they shipped me one for free. Now, with like 18 months of usage, the unit makes a clicking sound and doesn't start when I plug it in. In order to get it replaced, they want me to take a video that includes both the issue and the serial number, and reach out to the gifter (again, a year and a half later) for the receipt. I've now owned three immersion circulators and while they all have their faults, the one that is built to last has been from Kitchenboss (even though the dial functionality is less than great, everything else appears built to last)

Stops working
It was easy to use and had great results. Unfortunately, it stopped working after half a dozen uses. Look elsewhere for reliability.

Bought this after so much research on good reliable sous vide machines. My husband is a chef and he absolutely loves it. Very easy to use, and we appreciate the WiFi option it comes with. Cooks all our sous vides meats to perfection! Highly recommend.

Nickel & dime
I thought I was a loyal Anova customer. I have a sealer, pressure chamber, steam oven, and now a Precision Cooker. Imagine my displeasure to discover you want to charge me $1. 99 a month to access the timer on my Precision Cooker. I thought time and temperature might be good features in a precision device. I guess I was wrong. I have been very pleased with the performance of Anova equipment. I don't know if they purchased, but three colleagues have expressed interest in the steam oven due to the results I was obtaining. Two of these could easily buy the entire system without batting an eye. Fortunately, my wrist watch and my phone have very functional stop watches. Sad that you are grabbing at $2 a month instead of introducing improved features that would make me want to buy new hardware. Please focus on the long game in product development and not the $2 quick grab.

You will never go back!
WOW, I will never go back to cooking a steak on the BBQ after using the Anova Precision 3. 0. The steak and roast were cooked so evenly through and through. I will be hard going to a restaurant ordering a steak after this. What a Great kitchen tool…….

Decent cooker, rubbish app
The cooker is decent. It does it’s job. It is very precise but it is significantly louder than my previous, much cheaper cooker from another brand. The app and WiFi-connection is almost completely useless. It does not even give you push notifications unless you sign up for a subscription.

Hardware-software philosophy is horrible
Hardware seems good. However, for any guidance regarding temperature/cooking time you need a paid subscription in the app.

randomly stops working
doens't connect to phone, and randomly stops working, you can't turn it on and 100% trust that it will keep working for the set time, you have to keep checking it. When it does work, it does cook meat beautifully.

Broke in less than a year
Broke after one year of infrequent use. Won’t even turn on. Waste of money.
