About the Author

Eckart Frahm es profesor de Lenguas y Civilizaciones del Próximo Oriente en la Universidad de Yale, así como investigador asociado de la división de Antropología con responsabilidad sobre el estudio de tablillas cuneiformes en el Museo Peabody. Considerado uno de los mayores expertos mundiales en el Imperio asirio, ha publicado ampliamente sobre la historia, la literatura y la cultura de la antigua Mesopotamia. Antes de incorporarse a Yale, fue profesor e investigador en la Universidad de Heidelberg. Ha trabajado directamente con tablillas cuneiformes en instituciones como el British Museum de Londres, el Vorderasiatisches Museum de Berlín y el Iraq Museum de Bagdad, y ha participado en proyectos arqueológicos y de investigación internacional.
