It’s only okay. Written like a hallmark movie and just as cheesy

This book lacked so much substance. The characters were boring & the plot wasn’t good. I usually don’t mind miscommunication but the entire book you were waiting for the miscommunication to be revealed

The beginning of the story is pretty interesting, but the middle of the book is a bit boring as it is pretty repetitive. The end of the story is good, it’s what we’ve all been waiting for, but it happens too fast. There are some interesting moments when the chapter ends and wish it would have been elaborated on, but it just continues to a new event or ideas. But if you like enemies to lovers stories this is one for sure.

Loved Ryker & Camille

My ratings: 4.25 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️ “Plus, now that I have 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 to 𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒎𝒆, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒕.” I have been waiting not very patiently for Ryker and Camille since I read In Good Company and they made a cameo. I knew I needed their banter and boy did it not disappoint. I loved how bad Ryker had it for her literally from the beginning but wouldn’t allow himself to realize his real feelings. (My boy had it bad) I absolutely adored the moments that they both opened up to each other and talked about things they didn’t with other people. I like them know the pain of losing a parent and it is not an easy thing to deal with even years and year later. I loved that I could connect with them in such a way. Makes me loved the characters even more. I really enjoyed this book so much. I loved watching Camille finally step up from herself and allow herself to see her worth. Ryker is amazing through and through. They are perfect for each other. I also really loved that they both saw who they both truly were. How she understood why he had been acting the way he was and how he truly showed her, her worth and how amazing she was. The little raw moments in this book were truly my favorite. Like when she got sick. OMG I was swooning so hard. Their talks by the pool…etc. Such a good read. “I was on my second drink, 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 at the thought of starting the year without my mom. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 walked in, and it’s like 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭.” Tropes: 💰Billionaire x His publicist 🐈‍⬛Black Cat FMC x Golden Retriever MMC 💙Enemies to lover 🍸One night stand (off page) 💚Slow burn Songs: Bad for Business-Sabrina Carpenter Imgonnagetyouback-Taylor Swift
