Though he had a hardware business in Cuba, started the spice business in a small shop in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. Unfortunately this product is not longer “certified gluten free” as it shows in the picture and is just labeled “gluten free” because Badia changed their manufacturing processes. Just a heads up!

Curry powder is a blend of strong spices, which can vary. This is the cheapest (quality-wise) and least interesting curry I have ever tried. I bought it before realizing that it contains just turmeric, onion powder and salt.

I've been adding tumeric powder and garlic to chili for a couple of years, and curry seems to be mostly tumeric, and it's easier to find, and cheaper, so I tried it. I've never tried any other curry, so didn't know what to expect. I find an unusual, kind of skanky taste to this. I will use it up, won't throw it away, but won't get any more of this brand. Might not try any other brands of curry unless I just can't find tumeric.
