baggallini Soho Laptop Backpack Travel Bag

I use this to carry my lunch and fluids, as well as my iPad mini and my purse. It keeps me organized and prevents me from losing track of the many small items that help get me through the day. Even if I have a snack instead of a lunch, it protects my fresh fruit from being crushed in my lunch box. There are multiple pockets or credit card slots to store my stuff.

I bought this for my mom as a birthday gift, but the button on the handle latch cut her finger because it was loose. I am so disappointed in the quality of this bag.

This backpack is the perfect size to go with my carry on suitcase. The interior is very roomy. And there is plenty of room for a change of clothes, accessories and a small purse. Which is important now that airlines found a handbag as one of your two allowed carryons! It has a few exterior pockets. I don’t like backpacks with so many pockets that you forget where you put stuff! The luggage strap on the back is sturdy to avoid a carry-on bag that flops around. The construction is 💯 tough. I can’t wait to use it on several trips we have planned.

I received this bag as a gift 3 years ago, still in perfect shape like from the day I got it. The quality is excellent and comfortable. I use it every day for school and my only problem is that it isnt big enough for all my books! Other than that, it is a perfect bag.

I love it -- the fabric, the size, that it stands up, the pockets, that it slides on a luggage handle, and is perfect under the seat on an aircraft. BUT was so disappointed when on its first extended overseas trip the shoulder strap began pulling and fraying out of the seam. Shoulder straps should always be reinforced!

I bought this 2 weeks ago for a vacation.. I used as a carryon … I absolutely LOVE the easy access to the main storage space. That plus all the great zippers and padded compartments that side and out, makes sunglasses, iPad, credit cards and cash an organized WIN.

I bought this backpack a year ago and use it on trips. But today, the zipper broke- a tooth fell out and the rest popped open!! SOO sad!

I’ve purchased this bag a few times in the past 6 years (different colors, etc). I thought this school year (I’m a school administrator) I would change it up and not use a backpack. It didn’t last too long before I missed my Soho backpack. I even tried a backpack by another brand - not even close! The Soho backpack has all the necessary pockets that I need for pens, computer, computer accessories, personal items, books, water bottle, etc. The main opening stays open for me to easily grab what I need as I move around from place to place. Oh, did I mention I went back to my dependable Soho backpack! You won’t be disappointed; get one now!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these bags several months ago and my husband declared it is the best bag! So I had to buy another one so we both have one! The size is great although on the small side, but great for under an airline seat. It also has a nice sleeve to slide onto your other luggage. The top opening is nice and wide and the zippers are nice quality. Love all the compartments, space for water bottles and last minute pocket on the outside. Highly recommend!!

This backpack is perfect! Best features: pop-style zipper opening, good storage inside, excellent exterior pocket store, and TWO pockets that handle a water bottle and/or glass cases.

I have owned mine for over a year now and it is my go-to backpack and has held up exceptionally well. I especially like the large opening on the top. It The only issue I have had is that one of the zippers consistently sticks and has to be aligned just right to work. I REALLY wish they would make a smaller version of this backpack with the padded straps (and a zipper pocket on the back would be a nice bonus) that could be used as an everyday purse. All the smaller versions have plain straps which can become uncomfortable when wearing all day.

My Soho Backpack arrived today. Over the years, I have had multiple cross-body bags from Baggalini and other companies. I just moved my items from my older cross-body and my belongings are more organized! I now have room to carry a water bottle in a nice deep sleeve! I am 64 with some walking and balance issues. I decided to try using a small backpack and balance my belongings. I tried the Soho Backpack on with my winter coat--the straps are long enough! I am pleased with that part. I walked out of the gym building last week and saw a lady with a navy blue backpack...and the silver "baggallini" label on the back! I should have stopped and asked her what she thought of it. I was very happy to find it on the website and read all the details. While I do not carry a laptop, I will use that pocket for my zipper folder of medical papers I keep with me for emergencies. I want to thank "Eker" who titled her review as VERY CUTE BACKPACK WITH TWO FLAWS. (1.) I agree about the outer zipper that does not close completely! Yes, a good downpour will cause a leak for sure! The company should have fixed that one!!! (2.) I agree that the snap fixture keeps the two handles together should be able to move aside. Yes, it will get in the way! I am already missing the long strap to attach my car keys! I thought that was always added to a baggallini bag! I will give my Soho a try and see how she does. Someone mentioned the "pleather" handles came apart for her in the review. I will watch out for that one, too! Thank you ladies for all your comments and for helping me to find a new backpack to use as my everyday purse!

After purchasing several backpack brands, I decided on this one. So much room inside and out. The front pocket fit my liquids bag perfectly so I didn't have to hunt inside for it and the other pocket was handy for gum, wipes, etc. One of the two side pockets accommodated my 16 oz. Zojirushi mug and a few granola bars were tucked away in the other side pocket. The inside was deep enough to stash a pair of sneakers at the bottom plus multiple other items. The additional pockets inside kept items well organized. It has a laptop sleeve which is well padded, however a removable sleeve would have provided a little extra packing space when you're not bringing along a laptop. I did find it useful though, as I had frozen a sandwich in a silicone bag ahead of time and the padding kept it well separated from the other items.The comfort was amazing! I'm only 5'1 and weigh 100 lbs., so I was concerned it would put a strain on my back and shoulders. That was not the case even though I packed it very full. The padded straps were so comfortable. Since I packed so much, I was unable to get the luggage sleeve over my carryon handle (for my next trip, I purchased a bungee-like fastener for this purpose). It fit snugly under the aisle seat in front of me (American Airlines for reference). The zippers are sturdy and work smoothly. The material is durable and wipes clean. The thick double handles with the snap closure at the top of the bag provide extra security and made it easier to carry. It was perfect for my needs and since I was so pleased with the quality, I just ordered the carryon.

I have been a bag falling client since 2003 and own many bags and accessories. I was looking for a roomier backpack and purchased this one but the pleather started peeling within a few weeks. Wish they made it without just regulas baggallini materials and sniped the cheap pleather.

This bag was my daily work bag for months. I loved it right up until I had to take it outside in heavy rain. The front pocket is adorable, but the raised extra fabric that minimizes the visual impact of the zipper also collects water on top of the zipper, which lets the water run straight into the pocket and onto whatever you might have stowed there. Because of the way the fabric sits, that zipper doesn't quite shut completely either. I was outside in rain for maybe 10 minutes total. So much water got into the outside bottom pocket that it seeped into the main compartment too. I needed to take everything out of the bag and let it dry for two days before I could use it again, at which point I bought a bag from a different company that promises to be designed for the rain. The top carry handles are comfortable, but the little snap to strap them together is sewn on and makes them uncomfortable to carry even when it is unsnapped. Other similar style bags (I have two) have a snap closure strap that slides over to one side when you are not using it. I removed the little snap strap and now it is very comfortable to carry, provided it is not raining of course! I love the way this bag looks. I love the way this bag is organized. The size is perfect for a small daily commute bag, and the frame top is perfect. This has kept me from tossing it after the rain incident: it is now my at-home bag for my laptop to take it from room to room in my dry house. It is perfect for that, but it could be so much more!
