A: Hello and thank you for your question. You cannot check in or carry on a Balloon Time Mini Helium Tank on a plane. Helium tanks are considered compressed gas cylinders, which are classified as hazardous materials by the TSA and FAA.

Please contact your local solid waste authority for more details. Even if they do not accept the Balloon Time tank, they should be able to provide information on how to dispose of it. It’s a good idea to ask about any scheduled waste collection events in your area that will accept these items. A general web search like "Household Hazardous Waste disposal near me" or "cylinder recycling near me" may provide information on local disposal options along with potential pickup and drop off sites in your area.

We inflated (4) small-medium size foil balloons. 1 floated and is still floating 2 days later. The 3 others filled - so there was definitely helium in the tank. But they never floated. We also inflated 5 regular latex balloons - those floated the day of the party, but sank the next day (although they are still full). It's odd that we got such mixed results. I would not buy this product again, unless they change it to work more reliably.

Latex balloons typically float 5–7 hours, but things like heat, humidity, balloon age and quality, and over- or under-inflation can shorten float time. It’s also important to make sure you pull the knot tight to seal the balloon. For a longer float time, use HI-FLOAT (sold separately), which coats the inside of latex balloons and helps them float longer. Worked just as it should for me. I’m not understanding all the bad reviews. I appreciate the smaller size option which is easier to dispose of. This inflated an entire bouquet of balloons that were including a gigantic number 2 and a huge bluey, along with six regular mylar sized ones. A week later they’re still floating.

The reviews did scare me a little bit but the product does work. However, I was a bit disappointed that this had filled up about 15 balloons rather than the 20 promised. Price perballoon is expensive.

Says will blow up 20 balloons, it barely filled 16. The bottle suggest to blow them up one to two hours before event and they will last 3-5 days. Most fell at the 2 hour mark.
