These reviews are misleading
The reviews are misleading. The containers are great and seal food well. I have made the mistake of putting hot food in the container and it getting stuck after being in the fridge. Just don't put hot food immediately in and seal it shut. These are great in the dishwasher and travel well in coolers. The glass is thicker than my pyrex which chip constantly. I am slowly changing my containers to the be Bentego. They are always sold out in my store but have been lucky enough to get them twice on sale.

Love these!
I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews but I love these! I’ve had mine for a year now and they’re great! The lid suctions if you don’t let food cool properly before storing. They don’t leak, store easily, and are perfect for leftovers! I bought these on clearance and don’t regret it. I prefer them over any others I’ve tired.

Has a really nice tight seal, you have to lift from the corner to break the seal. Very sturdy, no issues with a glass. Just wanted to increase the rating because I believe it deserves that.

Complete disappointment
I have wanted a set of Bentgo storage/food prep containers for many months. I have the salad container and the kids chill lunch box which I absolutely love, so I finally decided that I would start to buy the food containers. Unfortunately. I was only able to use it twice before the lid of the container broke. The first time, no issues. The second time the lid stuck and it was extremely difficult to remove. The third time the lid cracked and broke. So disappointing.

Beautiful and NON-functional
These are beautiful to look and absolutely horrid to actually use. I was so excited they were on sale so I bought multiple boxes and thought they were so so pretty. Now I’ve wasted so much money. The tops will not come off once put on and break off. Wasted food. Wasted Money. Don’t buy these.

Imploding Glass
Please be aware that the glass may implode in your face if you do not remove the top even though it is very hard to remove at times. I thought I'd love this product until it blew up in my face & ruined my lunch.

Lid issue
This product is okay. It cleans well and hold any food or liquid inside a little too well. If you put food in the container, and place it in the fridge, if it build up condensation (which most foods will) it’s impossible to open. In order to fix this problem, you have to put a paper towel over the food before you close the container. If you forget to put the paper towel over, your out of luck.

They EXPLODE!
Just like the others, ours exploded!! My poor husband got a face full of glass while pulling it out of the microwave. He had vented the lid, as we always do with every container we own, and it suctioned itself on. When he went to pull it out of the microwave the whole thing exploded and sent tiny shards of glass all over the kitchen. It cut up his arms and hand. Why are these being sold?! Don’t buy!!!!!!!

Consider Shopping Around Before Buying These
I bought two sets of these containers during the winter months, and was excited to have nice containers. However, these containers often seal shut to where it is near impossible to open. I have no idea on how to fix this ultra-vacuum seal, but it seems like I am not the only one to have this struggle. It's frustrating (and usually painful) to get these open, and tonight one of the flaps on the lid broke off. :(

Would not recommend, been using these for the past couple of months and today the lid exploded in my office. It sent glass all over the place. Lucky I wasn't looking to close or would have had glass in my face. This product needs to be recalled, as it's not tempered and send shattered glass everywhere.

Do not recommend this meal container. The seal is very tight and it’s very difficult to remove the lid. It’s frustrating waiting to eat lunch on lunch break and I can’t remove the lid spending half of lunch break trying to get to your food. No!

This product with a glass lid is not good, it explodes when you put hot food in it. Apart from the fact that they are expensive, they are useless.

The worst food container I've ever experienced
Never had a problem with any food containers I've ever used. This brilliant product will suction itself sealed shut and then becomes almost impossible to open. How does a monumental design flaw like this pass the QA process? If you guys love shattered glass in your food, then this is the perfect product for you
