    Thaw too quickly

    Just buy Yeti ice packs because these thaw within an hour. Not sure what they would be good for.

To get the best performance, we recommend freezing them flat overnight for at least 8 to 10 hours before use. Pairing them inside a fully zipped, insulated lunch bag ensures maximum cold retention, as open-air exposure will cause them to thaw much faster. For cleaning, hand-washing or wiping them with warm, soapy water is best to protect the outer seal, rather than placing them in the dishwasher.     Great Lunch Ice Pack

    My husband, our two sons, and I all use these ice packs regularly, I think we have about 12 total. We love that they are thin and fit so easily in any lunch box. We typically put one on the top and one on the bottom. These will definitely keep your meal cold until lunch time, but are not all-day ice packs, so I wouldn't recommend them if you are trying to go more than 4-5 hours. They are also great for sports, we always throw a couple in a cooler in case of injuries at any practice or game and they have come in handy more than once!

    Bigger Than Stated

    Bought these specifically because they were 0.3 inches thick but they're more than twice that—they're over 0.6 inches thick, and won't fit where I needed them.
