Bernzomatic FirePoint Creator Tool Torch 436958

I have had mine for about a year and I love it. I can use it anywhere anytime it’s convenient for any project. I highly recommend this torch.

The flame adjustability is very poor. The torch i purchased has hardly any difference in flame size between low and high. In my opinion the adjustable flame control has two settings, high and a little higher. The difference between high and low is barley noticeable.

I just purchased this product to replace a torch that had started leaking fuel. I create art that has many pieces of cut copper that are individually placed, clamped, and soldered. My old torch required me to turn the gas on and off multiple times which was cumbersome and also wore out the shut off valve. This tool I just started using and the process is so much easier and more precise. I can't believe I didn't buy this sooner.

Loved my unit was very happy with it. Gave away my old unit to my grandson because I love this so much and today in a jewelry class it quit working.

It's definitely my go-to torch & I tell everyone I know about it!

Overall, great tool for wood working and small plumbing projects. Would like to be able to more fine-tune the flame for more precise welds/burns.

Gave this as a gift to my son. He really likes the fine tip on the flame and the fuel stand/holder. He is a welder by trade and has used it for detailed projects at home, one of which is putting his name on his creations. The quality of the tool is great. Overall, we are pleased with the purchase!

I bought the fire point creator tool about 6 months ago, and I am extremely happy with it. I wanted something that would be handy and dependable and I didn't want to have to hold a 5-10lb torch for long periods of time. This is perfect, it ignites quickly every time with just one click of the igniter. It's very ergonomic, I should have bout something like this years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is excellent. I love the flexible hose, base and compatibility with both map and propane gas. I liked the trigger and operation of the torch. I wish it had a carrying handle or something. If you have a permanent work area where this would be mounted its absolutely perfect for that. I found that I liked this so much, that I used it in place of my other torches and found myself wishing it had a carrying handle for better portability. If it had that I would give it 5 stars.

He’s been out in the garage at least twice a week, putting around with his creator tool and making all kinds of fittings and what not he loves how easy it is to use, it’s flexible and he can have the flame stay on constantly. You could even use it to weather proofing the wood if it is going to be used on the exterior of a building. Works well. Ten out of ten would recommend.

I love the precision of design I can get! I think the auto on/off is my favorite aspect- I can get a continuous stream without my grip being responsible for issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I first started by looking over the instructions I thought it was a bit complicated to control and use in the beginning, but after using it for a couple of times now. My first project was a wood tray to use as a centerpiece. I first drew with a pencil to create an image that would fit on it. It was alright for a first try, but the second time I felt I was able to have better control over this tool and controlling how much heat to use so I wouldn’t end up messing up the design.

I received the FirePoint Point Creator tool from Bernzomatic and it was super easy to set up just screw the MAP canister and you're ready to go. I used the torch while working on this project where I was using nitinol wire. A special type of wire that when heated changes shape. It is kinda difficult to work with because you have to be very precise with the heating of the metal. This is why they FirePoint was so great you could either use MAP or Propane to get different base temperatures of the flame then use the adjustable dial on the torch to really dial it in. And whats so great about the dial is it is right on the torch handle right by your thumb so you can really easily adjust the flame intensity while working on your project without having to stop and re adjust. I also used it to solder tiny silver rings so it can be used for even the most delicate and precise work. Overall I would recommend this product and the brand in general. I have had their max performance torch for almost 10 years now so I know they make products that last.
