Blackstone Temp Probe
bought this at the end of last summer and when I used it for the first time this spring it only works in celsius (C) mode even when switched to the Fahrenheit (F) mode.

Dead within a year.
Bought this 7 mo ago , worked fine til it didint. New batteries installed .. won’t turn on

Won't switch to the F° scale
I started off loving this thermometer but ended up almost hating it. After couple of months the thermometer switched itself back to C° scale even though it's still set for F°. It will not switch back no matter how many timers I toggle between F° & C°. I think i had it too long to return, so I'm stuck with this thing that I have to keep looking up to see what medium well temp is in C°.

Worked great for 7 months, then stopped. New batteries do not help.

Loved it for 1 year
Was a great thing for the first year. This summer the infrared works good still but the probe is whacked. Probe meat to check temperature, or any food for that matter and its brain is scrambled. Unusable probe now.

Thermometer accuracy
This thermometer seems to greatly designed and a good value. I have a gun already and I’m getting different readings… by 10° to 20°? I need something to benchmark and see which is more accurate.

Just How Hot Is It? Dang Hot!
Temperature is one of the most important factors in properly cooking food and this is certainly true for us new "griddlers"! Your IR thermometer and Probe Combo gives me the best shot at not over or under-cooking anything from buns to smashburgers. Thanks from me and my satisfied "customers"!

Love having the ability to check griddle temperature before and during. The ability to check the temperature of the meat and knowing when to pull the meat off at rare, med. rare and for our guest at well done. Nothing better than knowing, so our guest are happy with the meal.

Works, just not durable
I bought this item less than a year ago. Used it at in event in January, thought it was great. Kept it in my drawer in the kitchen and used it over Christmas for standing rib roast I was cooking. Dropped it accidentally on the floor (the thermometer not the roast). Battery cover would stay closed. Noticed that one of the tabs had broken. So, I have use tape. Disappointing that only one spill would do that.

We bought this when we purchased a Blackstone Pizza oven but figured we could use it for many of our other cooking needs. It does not come with batteries so make sure you have 2 AAA’s on hand. As far as use, very easy and can be used with probe or infrared. This is one great addition to may outdoor (and indoor) cooking set up.
