Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Comfortable

I tried this Cat & Jack Boys' Camo Print Reversible Puffer Jacket in Green S for my son as our first experience with the brand and we are both absolutely thrilled with how warm, well-made, and stylish it is for everyday winter wear. The reversible design is such a fantastic feature because it essentially gives us two distinct coats in one, allowing him to easily switch between the cool green camouflage pattern and the solid reverse side depending on his mood or outfit. It fits perfectly in size small with just enough room to comfortably layer a sweater underneath without feeling bulky or restricting his movement while playing outside. The zip closure glides smoothly without catching on the fabric, the insulation keeps him cozy during chilly mornings at the bus stop, and the durable material has held up remarkably well through outdoor play and machine washing. Overall, this puffer jacket completely exceeded my expectations for quality, versatility, and value, and I will definitely be purchasing more winter outerwear from Cat & Jack in the future!

Two coats in one!

My son is super excited to rock this coat this winter season. It’s reversible, which means he has two coats in one! It’s easy for him to zip and put on. Plus, it’s super soft and comfortable!

I didnt actually realize how heavy this jacket is. Its super warm, fleece lined even in the hood and sleeves. Fits true to size. My kid has monkey arms and is about 5-5 and it fits perfectly the XXL. I think water resistant not waterproof. Great for cold days we are headed in to!
