About the Author

JORDAN RIVET is an American author of young adult science fiction and fantasy featuring determined heroines, vivid worlds, and daring missions. Her independently published books include the post-apocalyptic bestseller, Wake Me After the Apocalypse, and its sequels; the Lost Clone dystopian sci-fi mystery series; and several YA epic fantasy series. Brightfire is her mainstream publishing debut. Originally from Arizona, Jordan has lived in Hong Kong since 2010. She spends her days as the unofficial writer-in-residence at a busy coffeeshop in the city center. In her free time, Jordan loves to read and travel, and she has recently taken up indoor bouldering to tackle her fear of heights.
