Title: Better raw than steamed I was initially turned off by the appearance of these florets, but after eating them raw I completely changed my mind. They have a surprisingly good bitterness and a firm, satisfying crunch. I originally wanted the whole broccoli heads, but the ones available looked terrible—yellowed and somehow mostly stem. This bag ended up being the much better buy. My only criticism is the “steam-in-bag” positioning. These shouldn’t be presented primarily as something to cook. They’re perfectly good straight out of the bag, and in my opinion the crisp texture and slight bitterness are actually better raw.
