Brod & Taylor Sourdough Essentials Kit

I love the straight sided wide mouth jar but don’t love the spatula. I feel like it’s too stiff and doesn’t clean the sides of the jar as well as a silicone spurtle

These jars have made my starter journey so much easier. My old ones had a “lip” on the top which made cleaning a nightmare. I got the two pack because I have a thing about a messy starter jar so this lets me start with a clean jar every day. The lids are better than the cloth covers that have to be laundered to keep clean. Overall opinion…worth every penny!

I love the open top. Makes it easy to stir up and add ingredients.

I really like the longer spatula and the jar is a perfect size. I do wish that your jars(both small and large) had millimeter markings on the side instead of ozs

I like the product, but the rubber o-ring used to seal the top is essentially worthless. It falls off easily and adds no value. I discarded it for this reason and just use the lid as is, without the seal. Otherwise, it is handy since it is larger than the sourdough containers I've used in the past and fits nicely in the dough warmer from Brod and Taylor.

I really like this jar, it holds plenty of starter . It has a nice wide mouth on it so it is quite easy to maneuvera spatula around. I highly recommend this item.

FInally, I have a nice size jar for my starter. I have used several different sizes of Ball jars that I was never very content with. This jar is just right for me. The black band that came with the jar, for me, does not stay on the jar when you place it on the lower part. I went back to using a regular rubber band. The scraper feels good in your hand and easy to use.

The jar is nice but way too big for the amount of starter I keep in my starter home. I am using it for my levain on the day I make bread. The rubber band is useless, it does not stay put. I would love a version half the size for daily use with my starter.

The spatula is the best one I ever used. Love the starter jar no lip and very easy to clean, just the right size for 250 grams of starter, my go to amount. Would by it again.
