Bumkins Chewtensils™ are intended for Stage 1 of baby led weaning – introducing babies to the concept of holding a utensil and feeding themselves. We made Chewtensils from soft, textured, food-grade silicone that’s easy to grip and is gentle on tender gums, with bendable heads for safety. They are perfect for dipping into puréed foods at the early part of baby led weaning. Chewtensils are intended for babies before they have a firm grasp on self-feeding (best for dipping and scooping, not yet spearing solid foods.) The back of the spoon head has sensory bumps to stimulate gums. Safe to use – made from 100% food-grade silicone and BPA-free, BPS-free, PVC-free, phthalate-free, cadmium-free and lead-free. CPSIA compliant. Dishwasher-safe (top rack). For ages 6 months and up. Each measure approximately 3” long, 1.75” wide.

So They Are Great For Chewing On/teething. Self Feeding = Fail. You Can't Actually Pick Anything Up With The Fork. The Spoon Is A Little Thick So Once They Have Something On It, Getting It In The Mouth With Their Food Doesn't Fit.
