Rotton Egg Smell
Absolutely disgusting smell immediately opening these steaks. Even my 5 year old daughter walked in and asked if we were making boiled eggs. Put them in a zip lock bag so I can return them in store and get my money back since that’s 2 steaks that were definitely not edible. Disappointing and big inconvenience. Would not purchase these again from target and 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Rotten Ribeyes
After reading other reviews, I’m glad to see that we aren't the only ones finding them rancid. We used to buy them on a regular basis and never had issues. The last two ribeyes we’ve bought (months apart), they had a rotten smell straight from the packaging. We also buy their sirloins and so far we haven’t had any issues, they are just super small. Stay away from the ribeyes!

Butcher box - BOO!
Butcher box took two skinny slices of steak, stacked them on top of each other and hid the fat inside the packaging. Super disappointed.

Pick up 4 of these, but after taking two out of the packaging the other two went in the trash. Weird smell, well within expiration date. I’ve heard good things about butcherbox, but I won’t pick these up again.

I bought these a couple times the past couple months so I understand some of the complaints. When you open the package it can have a weird smell and meat itself is lean. I’m assuming due to grass fed, but I may be wrong. The snow goes away in a couple minutes. Lean tough steak nothing to write at home about but for $14 a ribeye better than nothing

Straight out of the package had a weird smell. Cooked it, it started off alright, no taste really even with seasoning then as I almost finished, started tasting how it smelt and the smell came back… also feel like it kind of turned green??? I don’t know if I would buy again.
