New York Times best-selling author Mark Waid has worked for every major company in the comics industry in a nearly three-decade-long career, writing thousands of issues, including runs of Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, Ka-Zar and Fantastic Four. His other works of note include his collaboration with painter Alex Ross on Kingdom Come, which earned an Eisner Award for Best Limited Series. Waid enjoyed his greatest outpouring of critical acclaim with the Eisner Award-winning Daredevil -- which included a revered collaboration with frequent artistic partner Chris Samnee. He later took on such diverse pop-cultural icons as Princess Leia and Archie, and ushered in a new era of greatness for Earth's Mightiest Heroes in All-New, All-Different Avengers. His Marvel work continued with Avengers, Black Widow, Captain America, Champions and Doctor Strange.

Dan Jurgens is probably best known for creating the DC Comics hero Booster Gold and helping kill off Superman. Both writer and artist, he began his professional career on Warlord before moving on to write Booster Gold, Superman, Adventures of Superman, Zero Hour and Teen Titans for DC Comics. His credits also include extended runs on Thor and Captain America for Marvel, as well as the crossover Superman/Fantastic Four. Now in the fourth decade of his career, Jurgens continues to be one of DC's leading creators.

Writer Joe Casey debuted at Marvel with a long Cable run and a stint on Incredible Hulk. For DC's Wildstorm imprint, Casey wrote Wildcats and co-created Automatic Kafka and The Intimates; he also wrote DC's Batman: Tenses and Adventures of Superman. For Marvel, he has written Deathlok, Iron Man: The Inevitable, Uncanny X-Men and several "retro" limited series including Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes I and II. With Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven Seagle, Casey formed the development/production company Man of Action, responsible for animated series including Cartoon Network's Ben 10 and Disney/XD's Ultimate Spider-Man.

After an artistic apprenticeship under famed father Joe Kubert, Andy Kubert got his start on DC's space-opera variations Adam Strange and Warlord, as well as the best-selling crossover Batman vs. Predator in collaboration with brother Adam. Kubert's Marvel career began with a six-year stint on X-Men -- continuing into Thor, Ka-Zar, Ghost Rider and others. He collaborated with Orson Scott Card on Ultimate Iron Man, Neil Gaiman on Marvel 1602 and Paul Jenkins on Wolverine: Origin.

Lee Weeks is an acclaimed penciler who has illustrated runs on Daredevil and Incredible Hulk. Among his extensive Marvel credits are Civil War and World War Hulk tie-ins, Fantastic Four and Invaders one-shots, and multiple Spider-Man series -- including the web-slinger's team-up with Daredevil in the Mysterio Manifesto. Weeks provided both script and artwork for Spider-Man: Death and Destiny, which revisited the death of Gwen Stacy, and has written stories for various Marvel anthologies. Elsewhere, he has illustrated Dark Horse's Comics' Greatest World, Eclipse's New DNAgents and more.

Few can match Ron Frenz's record of substantial stints on two of comicdom's most influential and revered characters, Spider-Man and Superman, both of whom he provided with controversial new looks. Frenz succeeded John Romita Jr. on Amazing Spider-Man, and his artwork was favorably compared to Steve Ditko's original web-slinger. With Roger Stern, he introduced the Hobgoblin, covering the mysterious villain's debut and revealing his identity more than a decade later in Hobgoblin Lives. With writer Tom DeFalco on Thor, Frenz debuted a new look and identity for Marvel's Thunder God, eventually branching into Thunderstrike. Later, Frenz and DeFalco launched the MC2 Universe, home of Spider-Girl, the only Marvel heroine to reach one hundred consecutive issues.

Active since the late 1970s, Brent Anderson drew Marvel's Ka-Zar the Savage series and a memorable Marvel Graphic Novel in 1982 featuring the X-Men story "God Loves, Man Kills." He later co-created Marvel's Strikeforce: Morituri, and is perhaps best known for co-creating the acclaimed Astro City series with Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross. Anderson's many Marvel credits include Marvel Comics Super Special (Xanadu), Moon Knight and The Pulse.

A native of Argentina, Pablo Raimondi's pursuit of a professional comic-book career brought him to New York City, where the artist took on high-profile work drawing the quintessential American heroes Superman and Batman for DC Comics. For Marvel, Raimondi has collaborated with writer Ben Raab on Excalibur, and writer Peter David on Madrox and X-Factor. He is also well known for his outstanding work alongside writer Ed Brubaker on Books of Doom. In addition, Raimondi has paired with famed G.I. Joe and Wolverine writer Larry Hama on the original sci-fi comic-book series Oxido, published by Devil's Due.
