    Never thought I'd need it

    The box I received said that it expands to just 38 inches. I bought this gate specifically because the online description said it expands to 42. I tried it out in the area I needed, and yup, way too short. A huge waste of time and money.

    I bought this to keep my older cats out of an area of the house. It does that! However, it is not easily opened and closed for people to get through. If you're using it in a no-traffic area it's great. If you're using it in an area that you go in and out of a lot it's not the best option.
