We were concerned about ordering this gate given the previous reviews about the product arriving damaged. We are very happy with the gate. It is as described in the picture. It is free-standing and easily blocks of access to our stairs from our 20 pound dog. This gate is a much better option for us than gates that have to attached to the railings or wall. This lightweight gate would not be good for an active dog who can knock it over.

This gate came broken on every side. It is incredibly flimsy and light weight.
