It's a food-grade silicone cover that sits on top of your Blackstone griddle when it's not in use to protect the cooking surface from dust, debris, moisture, and rust. It also helps prevent scratches if you stack items on top. You would remove the cover before grilling and place it back on once the griddle has fully cooled down. Hope that helps!

This silicone mat for the blackstone fit perfect to help protect the cooktop from rusting or dirt after your finished cooking. It doesnt cover any of the other components on the Blackstone we’ll order a cover for that. Great fit !
