If using this indoors or maaaaybe outdoor covered it would be fine. For outdoor use its design defeats its purpose. I wouldn’t even say a flawed design but just doesn’t make sense. The top seat…sides and bottom all have open slots between the planks allowing the elements into the storage area. The bottom has large openings which will allow rodents in to nest. The Velcro pouch included is supposed to make it waterproof. That thing is like paper and will easily collect water and become a wet mess. I had 1 of these when I was a kid. Of course handmade in the U.S. It was sealed for the most part. I still have it. Any outdoor storage container you want to be able to open throw your stuff in and close. It should keep the items dry and safe and you don’t wanna be unzippering and zippering pouches. Unfortunately I realized this all after assembling…which wasn’t fun at all.

Nice color, nice wood not that awful partical board. I put together fairly quick, helps to have 2 people, I didn't but managed. 1 screw stripped otherwise went well. Great product and great price very sturdy. Would recommend.

Bench top had a crack. And two of the screws would not go in. They completely stripped out and I had to buy new screws, and new drill bits to get these in. Affordable price and I like how it looks but I’m having to work a lot harder to get this usable than I anticipated. If I can’t get the crack stablized with a bracket or the screws in, I’m going to return the half finished bench to target.

The bench is nice and sturdy. It was easy to assemble than it should’ve been.

Did it all by myself in like 20-25 mins and looks great, really roomy with more then enough room for all of my outdoor pillows.

it's a nice product - I put a cushion on the top so lifting the seat is no longer very easy but I'm able to store garden stuff in it and it looks very attractive outside.

Perfect size for my condo balcony with ample storage space. Doubles as a dining bench and matches my patio tables and chairs.

This bench was easy to put together. I am 60 years old woman, put it together myself, I usually dread doing stuff like that but it was surprisingly simple. great storage and fits on my small front porch perfectly.

This was easy to assemble, attractive, and sturdy. I keep it outside, by my front door. The seat lifts up.

I bought this bench two month ago, and I purposely waited to post this review until I had the opportunity to see how the bench would hold up.

It's easy to put toger it is very sturdy , looks great on my deck and very comfortable for a largr guy like me. very pleased with this item and will probably order a second once I get the rest of my yard sorted out.

We needed a way to store recycling on our small, covered front porch . This bench is the best solution! I put it together solo in about a half hour, but I'm sure someone with better hands could have done it faster. I put three 11x11 boxes inside to hold cans, bottles, paper. The bench looks nice and provides a seat to accompany our rocker. In terms of construction, all the holes were predrilled, even for the hinges (but it took me a few minutes to figure out where the holes were and how to attach hinges). The rest of the kit was easy to put together. The directions advise only putting screws in halfway until the bench is assemble (except for lid), and that's a good point. Things need to be loose so you can fit the back of the bench on. Then tighten everything up. The directions also note that if one of the large screws doesn't feel like its going in right, back it out and try again, being sure to keep the two pieces aligned. That was also helpful. All in all, a great buy. We won't be working this bench too hard, and its under cover.
