Q: The putty has stained my bed sheets.
How do I get the stain out?
submitted by Sabatinl - 2 years ago
A: We use 99% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol, the highest concentration is the best, to remove putty from fabrics and carpeting. We have also had excellent results using Purell or another alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Using Purell keeps the gel in one area a bit better than regular rubbing alcohol.
Always test an inconspicuous area first, then liberally wet the surface. The alcohol will start to break down the putty. After you have removed the bigger pieces, you will need to wet the surface and use a washcloth to rub at the putty. The alcohol and friction should remove the putty.
If the putty has a color, you can use any stain remover you're comfortable with to remove it. Always make sure the putty is completely gone, or the stain remover will not work on the color. The colors we use are often cosmetic grade. We recommend using an oil-based soap, the brand that we have had great results with is called Fels-naptha.

Q: Does this have any dye (like food dye) bc I am allergic to it
This color-changing putty offers a fun and engaging experience for guests of all ages, with its ability to shift colors based on temperature. Many guests appreciate its unique texture and the creative possibilities it provides for play. However, some have expressed disappointment regarding the product's consistency and quality, particularly with color changes and the amount of putty in the container. Overall, it remains a popular choice for entertainment and stress relief.

I think that this goodnight cactus putty is awesome! It is very stretchy and fun to play with. I definitely recommend this for children. And to get the putty to the darkest color your hands need to be cold but I would recommend to put the putty in the refrigerator for about five minutes and if you look at it and it's still not the darkest color then put it in for another like two minutes. And after you pu it in the refrigerator it will turn to dark purple then in room temperature it will turn into a peachy pink then with the warmth of your hands it will turn to a light yellow that is in the photos.

Empty container for $10
Container is practically empty. Really confused because other reviewers tubs are way more full than this (see pics)?. Disappointing waste of $10

Disappointed
Bought one, was sealed shut due to a leak and tried to use a coin and a key to open it. Didnt work, went back to exchange it, same thing happened. Ended up taking it home and having to beat it senseless in order to get it open.

First and favorite putty I’ve ever gotten :)
I got this a few months back as my very first thinking putty and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s SO much fun to play with, the color change is AMAZING, and there’s SO MANY THINGS TO DO WITH IT! I mess with it all the time, it’s great.

mostly great. very stretchy. colours fade fast.
i bought this 2 days ago and within those 2 days i started playing with it it was great and it turned to the orange then yellow but the next day it wouldn't go those colours anymore it just went from purple to pink to white. apart from the colour struggles its very stretchy!! great popping sounds and slightly hard on the hands to squish alone but its still great

Negative reviews mistaken
It is temperature, not light, that changes it's colors. At room temperature the putty is a warm pink. If cooled, like in the fridge, it goes deep purple, and if warmed, like on a hot mug, it goes lemon yellow. If played with, then yeah, it will be the peachy color of the temperature of warm hands. Not sure what people are expecting but it works great. Looks exactly like the packaging.

Great colors!
I purchased this putty because it undergoes 3 color changes depending on how warm the putty gets. The putty can be molded, squeezed, stretched, pulled apart, rolled, and balled - making it fun to play with. If you leave it alone in its tin for awhile or place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes, it reverts to its original light color, ready to be played with once again.

Dissappointing
So, I bought this today and was excited to see it change colors. First, the tin did not have a seal around it. Second, the tin was extremely difficult to open. Third, once opened, the putty was not purple but a rosy pink color. Fourth, the putty would not change colors. Lastly, I had to break off a small amount, and after an hour or so, it only changed to a lighter peach. I have never been so disappointed.

Great Putty, but does not really change color
I bought this the other day and have been playing with it daily. I love the sparkle and it is a good texture. The main issue is that is isn't really color changing. I have had others in the past that change, one of them is 5 years old and still changes. It starts off as a darker pink and then after playing with it, I get more of a pale peachy type color, but that is the extent of the changes I have seen.

Disappointing
Just got this and, first of all, it was super difficult to open. Putty was super hard and we thought playing with it would soften it but nope. And worst of all, the color doesn't change at all! It stays at a muted pink even after pointing a flashlight at it for multiple minutes... Definitely better options out there.
