Book Synopsis

Allai, a daemon hunter from the neighboring kingdom, has dedicated his life to eradicating the daemons he believes possess the innocent. Hunting his own lost, possessed sister, he vows to discover a way to heal her or be the one to end her misery. His mission leads him to Czaela, now targeted by his king for her "demonic" abilities. They form an unexpected connection through which he gains a new perspective on daemons, and when it is discovered that the king himself has a corrupt daemon within him, Allai's loyalties are tested.
