Every can I received was dented. The box was poorly prepared for shipping. Not sure if the dents are due to shipping or the cans were all dented beforehand. This is the first order I have received like this from Target. Normally the packing and products are in great shape.

Trying to lower my cholesterol. I eat a can a day for lunch with a spoonfull of grated cheese. Microwave for 1 minute. Add cheese after nuking.

I was expecting something similar to the actual spinach leaf but it turned out to taste almost nothing like it. I usually like eating spinach but this is not it. The ”spinach” has a really strange soggy texture that feels like someone chewed up a handful of spinach leaves and regurgitated them into the can.

I am disappointed that I can't get the "old" kind of Del Monte spinach I grew up on. I thought it was chopped, but the kind I am talking about didn't look like a leaf at all. It looked kinda like long strings. I don't like leaves of any kind. So I quit buying it when the store even offered a kind of Del Monte. Now they only carry Popeye's. Not the same deep rich taste, but if I eat it all that is my only choice. My favorite kind was the first to go. I wish I had a photo. I haven't had any in over a year. I still buy Del Monte Fruit Cocktail. Is that going away too?

Delmonte is the brand I grew up on, as it was always a few cents cheaper than the competition. The canned spinach is so easy to whip up for a quick side. We'll often heat it up in a pot after draining the can, with a little bit of butter or salt, and then mix it in with a pasta dish. It's a great way to get some extra nutrition!

i don't love how it tastes. i added it to some stew for some extra fiber and vitamins. was barely edible. i would recommend getting some fresh spinach, vegetables in a can tend to have poor flavor.

I've eaten Del Monte my whole adult life. Recently ( last 3-4 cans) have been terrible. Has your recipe or spinach suppler changed? We are going to try another brand since Del Monte has failed us. Please go back to your original.

I've always enjoyed Del Monte canned spinach. Since I was a kid and I'm 60 now. Drain it, press it dry and add a little butter or margarine to the pan and heat it up. Season to taste and you have a great side dish. I've used it in other recipes as well and I'm never disappointed.

This was awful. I grow my own spinach, buy the frozen stuff off season, and buy fresh when I can. I decided to try this canned stuff.... Yikes. Right when I popped the can open, the smell was nasty. I heated it up and it just got worse. I drained the juices, added a little butter, salt, pepper, and garlic.. didn't help at all. I had to toss the other unopened can I purchased. I wouldn't even give it away. People, trust me.. I am a spinach guy. 5 nights a week... But this stuff? never again..

The amount of salt in this product is something you should check if that's something you need to be concerned about. Personally, I think it makes it taste a lot better than the low-salt alternatives.
