Broken and Gray

Feels insane to be leaving a review on beans of all things, but I had the EXACT same experience as Bailzofhayy. Needed 3 cans of beans for a recipe. Accidentally only ordered one via Aldi Instacart. Bought 2 of these from Target to supplement. There wasn't a single whole bean in the can! Think of it like buying cashew pieces (not even halves--pieces!) instead of a whole cashews. And they were a pale, almost grey color, compared to the vibrant, kinda peachy color of the Aldi beans. Really wish I would've taken a photo because the difference was appalling. And for them to be so much more expensive makes it even worse. I appreciate the low sodium option here, but it's not enough for me to ever buy these beans again.

I ran up to my neighborhood store as I needed 2 cans of cannellini beans for a recipe and only had 1 (bush’s best). Grabbed these as they were about 30 cents cheaper than the Bush’s. When I opened the can and went to rinse them most of the beans were broken! There was a noticeable color difference between the two brands which made it easy to tell the difference in quality of the bean. The Good and Gather organic cannellini beans were also significantly softer and more mush-y and all the broken beans lowered the quality of the dish unfortunately.

I was looking for beans with high fiber and low sodium. I saw these and grabbed two cans. I cooked them with some grass fed butter and wood fired garlic and BAM! The most delicious beans I've ever had.

These are the most tasty cannellini beans, I use them in recipes that take the whole can, beans and bean juice. Other cans have a gross taste but these are amazing. Especially for curried beans

Very hard Weird Flavor

These beans taste weird. The texture is far too hard and odd and the flavor is off. I cooked them an additional 40 minutes prior to adding them into a tried and true recipe just to get them soft enough to be edible. Texture improved somewhat, taste did not. Will not be buying again.

I'm a big fan of the value Target brings with their canned bean products, so I was excited to see these added to my local store. Flavor is fine but the texutre is not where it's at –– do not plan to keep them in their whole form for your dish. Blended would be OK.
Spoiled Fast

These Organic Cannellini Beans spoiled really fast after refrigerating for a couple of days. They smelled really bad when I opened the storage container. I was going to dispose of them anyway because I didn’t like the flavor and they were way too soft. No fiber at all. I’m really disappointed in this purchase.

I bought 3 cans of these and had to throw them all out. Two cans had smaller, harder beans and one can had larger, almost swollen beans, that were twice the normal size and had black spots all over them. The cans were not dented or damaged. This is concerning and they had to be discarded.

I rinse my beans before using and all the skins separated off the beans, so it was a mix of beans and skins. so weird. and once you get the skins separated , you are left with half a can. can wasn’t full to begin with

I am really pleased with the quality of Good & Gather canned beans. Full of fiber and protein, which I add to soups or brown rice and veggies. They are delicious. I need the low sodium because of hypertension - much healthier for you.

Never will I buy this brand again. I made soup with these beans and after cooking all day, the beans were crunchy. I will be returning the 2 cans I didn’t use.

It is hard to find organic beans that are also low sodium. I buy these beans a lot.
Gritty beans

Capybara - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
Having eaten multiple cans of these beans, I can say they are gritty/slightly uncooked. The skins are falling off the beans which are also smushed. The can was only 3/4 full, not 5/6th full like other cans. Looking for a creamy white bean with mostly intact legumes? I would skip this product for most recipes.

Delicious ! Thank you Target for having ORGANIC canned goods. I couldn’t find organic white beans at H‑E‑B nor Sprouts. They were perfect for white chili 🙌🏼
