The Dimplex Multi-Fire XHD26L Plug-In Electric Fireplace Insert is a fantastic choice for those looking for a realistic wood burning fire experience, but don't want the mess or hassle.     Best fireplace ever. We looked

    Best fireplace ever. We looked for a long time and decided to go with the 26 inch multi fire XHD. We are by placing this in our motor coach. This heats amazing and I love that the programming lights go off so your not looking at them continuously. This is the most realistic looking fireplace we found. Love it!!!!!!

    GREAT replacement for existing surround!!!

    I bought this unit for my mom's freestanding fireplace surround. Her original stopped working and the supplier no longer carried it's replacement. My online chat person was super helpful, we made sure measurements were correct and it was delivered in under a week! This replacement looks better than the original, is SUPER toasty, quiet and was a breeze to put in. Thank you!!!

    Mesmerizing

    I had a gel insert for my antique fireplace for years and loved it ! But this electric insert is by far so much better. Touch a button and viola, it’s cozy and beautiful.

    Love it!

    Easy to use website, super fast shipping. Great little fireplace, works great! Keeps our living room toasty. Flames are realistic and logs glow very nicely. Love that we can turn the heat off and still have flames. Wish it had crackling noise, but can’t have it all. Super easy to set up and install. We were using in about 10 minutes after unpacking.

    Very happy with the service and the fireplace insert

    At first we were upset because the insert we needed to fit into a 28"" space was no longer offered, so we ordered a 27"" insert and it worked out fine. We simply used the extra space as shelf space. Looks great.

    Our new fireplace

    We replaced our gas unit with this one to give us a little extra heat in our living room and the look of a real fireplace is great. The size was almost a perfect fit it looks great.

    Very nice unit!

    So far, so good. I just received it and installed it in the opening from the original. It fit perfectly except I had to do a little work on the mantle due to the fact that the front glass has to go above the fireplace to hook it on, then it slides down to make a perfect fit. The one thing I wish it had would be a variable fan speed. If it has one, I haven't found it yet.

    This product is a nice replacement.

    This 28"" XHD model replaced a generic insert which was purchased as a mantel set & used for 15 years. The older insert had much more metal & glass & less plastic than the XHD, which makes the new insert much lighter & easier to handle. Unfortunately, when using the heater, the heat goes directly up into the slight overhang of the wood mantel, making the mantel very warm & will eventually dry out the wood. This was one of the few items found to adequately fit into the mantel opening without leaving a lot of open space at the top & sides. It fits easily into a width of 27"" & is a nice basic insert without all the ""fancy"" special effects of other models.

    This product makes the room.

    The fireplace is in the tv room and is focal when not watching movies. The screen is retractable and the room becomes a library (book shelves behind retractable screen). The fireplace adds the warmth of the study for reading or just enjoying quiet music.

    I would buy this unit again

    I replaced my 10 year old dimplex heater with this one and it was an exact fit. Very nice flame, very quiet fan, love the remote. I use this unit in my rv. I am a full time rv guy. It supplements my furnace heat on very cold windy days. And only need this unit to heat my 35 ft rv when its 45 or above outside. Much quieter then running the furnace.

    Measurements are not accurate from the manufacturer.

    Giving it a 4 star review due to the inaccurate measurements given by the manufacturer. The width dimension given on-line and in the book is 27 3/8"". It is no more than 26 1/2"" in reality. This is a big disparity that caused the unit not to fit in our opening. We had to add material on each side of the opening to accommodate the smaller size. Otherwise, the unit is very nice. The heat output is exceptional, and the thermostat feature is a nice bonus that our old FP did not have.

    Great product

    Product produces a very realistic fire with a variety of settings to change brightness, speed of flame and color at the bottom of the logs. The heater works well. It's a good alternative to gas or wood burning inserts.

    It has completed the conversion of a cherished entertainment center, designed before flat screen televisions, into present day functionality. Really enjoy the ambiance. Beautiful and no mess!
