I’ll admit, when a friend recommended Dungeon Crawler Carl, I was hesitant. The title and synopsis didn’t sound like my typical read, and I didn't think it would be my cup of tea. However, on their strong suggestion, I decided to take the plunge and give it a chance. I am so glad I did. This book blew me away in all the right ways. From the unique concept to the surprisingly deep character work (looking at you, Princess] Donut), I was absolutely hooked. It’s funny, it’s action-packed, and it has more heart than I expected. If you're on the fence about this one like I was, just read it. You won't regret it!

If you love role-playing games you will love these books. Despite the high-stakes death game scenario, these books remain pretty light and fun. Carl and Donut are solid heroes you want to see win and Dinniman’s writing is funny and inventive. Easily one of my favorite series!

Great story teller.

5/5 book! Absolute fun, and will definitely get you hooked on the series!

Lots of ups and downs in this book which looks at the best and worst side of humanity when placed under a microscope. Funny in several places and definitely action packed, I only found a small spot around the middle of the book that was dragging but it picked right back up and I've bought the next 2 to read. There are 7 books in this series.

Loved the characters, the setting and the crazy ways things go sideways for the main characters. The only downside is that you will want to immediately pick up the rest of the books and spend the next few weeks reading them all and then start over again.

Nothing like I’ve ever read and now I’m not sure I can read anything else. This series is amazing!

I passed by this series for a couple of years before I decided to give it a try. I was so mad at myself for waiting so long. Worth it. Go into it with an open mind and enjoy the ride.

This book has heart, humor, absurdity & is so much fun!!! It’s the Survivor tv show vs. Fortnite, with a dash of Hunger Games and a hefty sprinkle of Dungeons & Dragons. My new fav series & I can’t wait for the next book!
