Large eggs? Some eggs are much smaller
These are suppose to be large eggs. 3 of the 12 eggs are significantly smaller than the others and in no way should be classified LARGE eggs.

Everything I want for hens and their eggs!
I am entirely happy with these eggs. The dark brown egg shells aren't fragile so I think the hens nutrition is good. They taste fresh because they are fresh. Thank you for the good ways you care for the hens. This is important to me.

Like having chickens in my backyard!
I've looked for years to find Organic Fed as well as Organic pastures. Pete & Gerry's is the ONLY brand I found that checked ALL the boxes! I grew up raising chickens (where I live now is not zoned) and these eggs compare equally to what ours eggs were like growing up!

Pale yolks-confusing packaging
I have bought the organic, free range eggs off and on over the years and have more or less been satisfied when comparing lower cost, free range product to that of other companies. However this weeks batch of eggs looks pale and lacks flavor leading me to wonder if there have been some changes made to chicken diet and lifestyle? Also the packaging is a bit confusing and misleading as it states “organic feed” with “organic pastures” written directly below which gives the false impression that they are pasture raised eggs. But now I realize there is a specific “pasture raised” product line.

Delicious
Best tasting eggs ever. Fluffy yolk when boiled and tasted when scrambled. You can't compare.

Weird taste
I've bought these eggs many times, each time swearing I won't buy them again, due to the off-putting ammonia flavor to the yolks, then once every couple of years I decide to try again and they're the same every time. The brown shells always have a powdery grey finish to them as well, which makes me wonder if they're being bleached with some chemical that impacts the taste of the eggs.

Thank you for your review. We’d like to take a moment to assure you that per FDA regulations and food safety requirements, we do and must wash our eggs before our consumers can receive them. We use a light, organic approved soap to wash our eggshells. After the eggs are washed, they are sanitized with a mild chlorine solution. While certainly unpleasant, dirty eggs can typically be used safely by gently cleaning with a dry brush or cloth before use and being sure not to let the egg's contents touch the outer shell while cracking. We hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to us via email or contact form and we can help get this sorted.

Set them free pale yellow 💛
No it's not variability the Organic in the plastic box (why plastic your core markets this!) are always pale yellow so I and your other customers are highly suspicious of this...are they really free range....the Pasture raised are awesome orange 🍊 and not in plastic that's why they are always sold out...your customers notice everything Make organic free range really free if they were the yolks would be orange because they would be chomping grubs worm bugs 🎉😀

Thank you for your feedback. You’re absolutely right that free-range and pasture-raised eggs tend to have darker, sometimes even orange yolks, and that is indeed what we and other consumers tend to see in our eggs. While free-range and pasture-raised have many benefits, we’ve also found that it leads to more variability in yolk color due to different grazing habits and preferences from hen to hen. We invite you to fill out our contact form so we can properly investigate this batch and take a look at what you're seeing!

Why is this company Pete & Gerry’s selling Fake Eggs that are supposed to be Organic? 😡 Wake up people they are selling fake eggs , very well painted but I know the difference.

We're so sorry to hear about your disappointment. We take great care in inspecting every egg and carton before they leave us, and we can assure you that all of our eggs are very real! As you hold light up to the egg, this is called candling, which shows the inner membrane of the egg - this is perfectly normal!

PLASTIC IS OFFENSIVE!!
YOUR PLASTIC EGG CARTONS ARE OFFENSIVE! I wonder how many people like me and my family reach over your eggs to get the organic eggs in NON-PLASTIC containers. I am guessing a lot and thought you should know! Thank you for giving us ORGANIC!!! Sonja

Thank you so much for reaching out with your thoughts! As a certified B Corporation, we’re truly committed to both people and the planet, which is why we’ve carefully considered our carton design. We know that packaging our eggs is an important decision, and we’ve based it on solid research and data. We’re always exploring new, more sustainable options as we carry on with our constant research and testing of alternative options in search of the most earth-friendly packaging for our eggs. We chose our original 100% recycled plastic cartons based on real data and research collected through a third-party life cycle analysis that found those cartons to be more environmentally-friendly than most other options on the basis of carbon footprint, human health, ecosystem quality, and resource depletion measures across their entire life cycle. Given the excess of plastic in our world today, we have always felt good about diverting a significant number of water and soda bottles from landfills by putting them to good use in our cartons. That said, we understand the overall negative perception around plastic in our world today, and we appreciate hearing from our passionate consumers who are concerned with declining plastic recycling rates and access. As we assess our carton material, our goal is to present a sustainable option for everyone.

Worse eggs I ever bought!!!
I would give it zero star if it was possible. The egg yokes are very light yellow almost white. I have never seen yokes this color and the tase is awful. Very disappointed. Will never buy again.

We're so sorry to hear about this experience. We take great care in inspecting every egg and carton before they leave us, so this isn’t something we take lightly. While free-range has many benefits, we’ve also found that it leads to more variability in yolk color due to different grazing habits and preferences from hen to hen. Flock age can also be a factor when it comes to inconsistencies in yolk color. We'd like to investigate the details here - keep an eye on your inbox - we will send an email soon!
