Q: Is level A the easiest level and D the hardest level in Reading? Want to get the simplest but I don't know what those letters mean.

submitted by Roberta - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Roberta: I was shopping for the easiest books too and wondered if Level A was the easiest so I looked it up and Level A is the easiest. Around kindergarten level/ages 4-6. Hope this helps as I see that nobody responded to your question.

Some sight words

I got 2 of the same books in this pack, which was a bummer. There are a good amount of sight words in these books but also quite difficult ones for my 5 year old without picture reading. Overall they're good to help my child with more word exposure.

Inconsistent level

For 8 page books with one sentence on each page the reading level is way too high. I expected short phonetic words for actual early readers but half the pages have words that don't follow the standard "rules" and/or have three syllables or 8+ letters, so what should be a book for my pre-K early reader even my right-at-average-level 1st grade reader has to think through a few of the words. Very disappointed that it's not as advertised, my early reader loves reading but gets frustrated that I have to correct half of what she reads because it's not pronounced the way it's spelled.

Great for Pre-K

My young reader really enjoys these books. The stories have some repeating words that he has learned quickly so he can independently read the books.

The books are little.

The books are smaller than I thought. But perfect for a beginning reader to build confidence.

Love!!!!!

I love these for my 4 year old. It helps him learn his sight words and the sentences are so short that it’s easy for your first time reader to feel encouraged when reading. I would Definitely recommend this book!!!
