These are perfect for gardening. They protect but are still allow for the fine dexterity of gardening. These are not heavy duty construction gloves, that is a different category. If you are looking for protective but flexible gardening gloves, these are awesome! The L/XL fits my husband snuggly, as gardening gloves should. Good gardening gloves large enough for a guy are hard to find. He has long and fairly slender fingers for a guy. If your guy is heavy/bulky handed, these will be too small.

Not great if you have long fingernails.
The gloves are ok but the very first time using them my nails put a hole through two fingers of the gloves. That seems like pretty poor quality but would probably work fine for someone with short fingernails.

These are polyester, not cotton
falsely advertised as 100% cotton, these are actually made of polyester. Fery dissappointing, wish I would have read the tag before removing. I would have chosen a different pair.

Nice Gloves But They Run Small
Nice looking gloves and the look heavy duity for gardening work and I'm rating them 4 for those reasons. I bought the Large/Extra Large size and large size gloves are my size. I thought these might be a little loose for my hands. They run small. I could NOT get hands in them. I'm disappointed because they are the type of glove I was looking for but I'll have to return them for that reason.

Only Fiskars For My Yard Work!
Fiskars has all the best gardening gear! These gloves fit perfectly, they are extremely durable and clean up well. I just added a drop of dish soap and within mere minutes dirt was gone with a single rinse! They look brand new again.

I have worn these gloves during the winter season to move outdoor furniture, trim a rose bush, and remove fallen limbs from a downed tree after an ice storm. These gloves have non-slip grips which help my hands hold onto loppers and pruning shears. My hands also get wind burnt very easily and these garden gloves protect my hands from the elements. Slip these gloves on and off with ease to do many home tasks. Fiskars does not disappoint!
