Flexi Fun Retractable Dog Leash - Black (10-16 ft)

Purchased for a puppy. The leash is of poor quality and very thin. Used one day and the leash frayed in two areas.

Perfect leash for dog

Overall this leash has worked great for us, there are just a couple things I wished that I had thought about before buying it. The rope part of the leash is so thin that it super hard to see, especially as it gets dark out. We’ve had people almost trip over it or run into it multiple times. Also, if you have to grab onto the rope part I’m afraid you’d get rope burns. I wish I’d gotten the one for bigger dogs that has the thick black webbing all the way up the leash.

Light weight so it’s very comfortable to hold, and does the job!

I have 3 of these leashes because I love them so much. The tape design is better than cord to prevnt rope burn if tangled. Sturdy and reliable for daily walks with my 6 rescue Dogs. Essential for safety without fence.

No clue how this passed the design phase. My puppy chewed off the ribbon connecting the two main pieces, rendering it useful (not sure how anyone would have thought it was a good idea to use a flimsy thin ribbon for this purpose but here we are). I thought I found a workaround and re-attached the two pieces with a sturdy metal loop and, while it fixed this issue, later on she got loose because the clip detached from her collar. This thing is useless and should be pulled from market until they do a redesign. It fails the leash test.

Dangerous - Our dog saw a bunny and went to chase it. I tried to grab the leash harder so he couldn't get away and the rope tore into my skin. It literally burned it so hard that there is a huge cut on my hand. This may has also tore into my daughter's legs as the dog got wrapped around her. Do not buy this!

Super awesome leash. Feels very sturdy & reliable. I love that I don’t have to worry about my dog while out walking!!

String too thin, ripped after a week

Poor design and quality. Broke after 2 days. Purchased for a dog 35lbs and leash is rated up to 110lbs.

Flexi is my go to leash. They stand and hold up well. Just make sure you get the right size for your pet size. Small is really for a tiny dog. Medium works for most dogs.

The cord is easily chewed if it slips around as the puppy turns. Not durable. Lasted a coups days even with sour apple spray

I like that the leash is retractable so we can reel in our puppy as needed and extra long when fully out so our 9 month old very active large puppy has room to explore and play with his ball while on our walk. I wish the leash rope was a little wider.

I have to give this thing 1 star because it works but it’s a safety hazard. I dropped the leash and my dog ran past me. The leash whipped right on my legs and took the skin off.

I bought this leash Dec 29 2021 and it’s still going strong. I have a cocker spaniel that is somewhere between 20-25 pounds who does occasionally pull hard if he sees an animal. It has frayed a bit so I’ll most likely replace soon to be safe but it definitely worked well for us. I also like that you can add a poop bag holder directly to it.

Works great for our little Morris. However, the leash handle is very small and fits better in out toddlers hands than mine or my husband. For the price it’s really no big deal.

I admit, my 20-ish-pound gremlin didn't probably need me to pick up the L-sized version of this product--but given how it drives me batty how many dog owners in my area (and especially at my local park) just let their dogs off their leash whenever they feel like it, I was determined to not be the That Guy of a dog owner--while also at least having the option of letting my dog roam a bit further afield than a conventional leash, where appropriate. The retraction mechanism in this leash works great, providing dependable and effective maintenance of steady retraction force--enough that the dog knows it's there and the leash is kept off of the ground, but not so much that the dog has to labor mightily to extend it (pint-sized monster or no). The button-slider locking mechanism is great for when you'd prefer that it behave like a conventional leash for a while, limiting your pet to a shorter radius for a time. For those who've never used a retractable leash before, though, be sure to heed the warnings on the package: they are not a fool-proof product (this goes for all items in the category--not just this one), and the possibility of injury if used inappropriately/carelessly is not remote--particularly in the realm of friction burns/edge cuts and tripping. (I haven't been harmed by mine, but there've been a few moments that could've gone sour if I'd not exercised intentional caution.) There are some dogs that also wend around their humans too much for something with tension like this to be a good idea, unless you enjoy taking your walks trussed up like a Christmas duck. All in all, I'm happy with mine. I didn't see the little branded clip-on add-on doodad (for poop bags and the like) available at my store, but that's fine--I am an inveterate wearer of Things With Pockets, so I can manage without. It probably would've been an overpriced little piece of plastic anyway.

I hate that it’s such a small string and that it doesn’t lock in place and release. It’s weird and I feel like it will break soon.
