We expect you to get a month's worth of quality shaves, so we're sorry you're only getting about 3. With our quality checks, this isn't what we expect. Since facial hair can be as tough as copper wire, it's always best to soften the hair as not doing so can wear down the blades faster. You can easily do this by trimming the hair down first, soaking the hair in warm water, and applying a pre-shave. This may help, but we'd like to hear from you about this and help. I just can’t believe my eyes! I bought the Gillette Mach3 for my husband today and when I got home and took it out of the box, one razor is missing! At first I thought it’s not a big deal but it actually is! Like I would totally understand if it was a mistake but now who’s gonna believe me once I take it back to the store! I looked like crazy everywhere I’m the area I opened the box but nothing! That’s pretty disappointing 😔

Pitiful longivity is WHAT you can expect nowadays with Gillete Mach 3 refills. Been loyal to this brand & particular blade since it's release in mid 1998, however, I can no longer expect them to deliver a crisp smooth shave after 1 or 2 uses as before. Yeah I get it, I'm getting OLD & things change but .... I'm very systematic with using warm water to cleanse / clean the blades before setting them to dry face up in the razor stand. There is a lot of joy when shaving with a NEW blade but forget that experience after the 2nd. shave & that alone raises the cost of using them out of my bathroom entirely. They just simply don't last very long anymore !!!

I used to love these razors. I’d buy a 5 pack and they’d last forever because I could use the same blade replacement multiple times before it went dull. Now I can only use it once or twice before it’s dull. I can buy the Kroger brand for 20% of the cost and get the same life out if the blades. I’d rather pay more for better quality, but if this is how it is then I’ll buy Kroger’s blades.

These razors last about 3 times before needing to replace blades. Add that the cover doesn’t even stay on the blade makes it fairly worthless, especially for travel purposes.

Been using this blade and all Gillette products for many , many years. Gillette quality definitely not what it used to be. Blades do not last as long. Price has gone ridiculously high. Especially for the quality. Sad to see a good company go this way. Looking for other options.

Just like many others who are experiencing subpar performance out of the new Mach 3s, I am also voicing my concern about the quality of new Mach 3s which have definitely been compromised, one very obvious reason is the fact that the older Mach 3s were made in Germany but the newer ones don’t even mention where they are made in ( I guess for obvious reasons! ), I used to shave at least 5 times with one blade, now only 2, max 3 with some cuts on my face, I’m glad users notice this although Gillette won’t admit to it. Where are the new blades made in Gillette?

The older Mach3 razors (with blue plastic, which I ordered directly via the Gillette website) were fantastic. I've been using the Mach3 and only the Mach3 for over 20 years to shave my head and my face - outstanding. However, the last batch of Mach3 razors (the new variety with black plastic) had to be returned. The shave was clearly subpar by comparison. You could not only feel the difference when shaving, but the razors required going over the same area multiple times to produce a shave which was barely as good as what you could achieve with one or two passes from the older blue plastic Mach3's. I don't know why anyone at the company would make changes to a product that is already perfect. It makes no sense whatsoever. I don't know what I will buy to shave my head/face with now, but it will not be the Mach3 any longer. Shame on Gillette for ruining a great razor for no apparent reason.

Hard to get their attention.. I use three of their razors.. would love a refill package that would consist lets say teo mac 2 blades and 2 of another.. but all you get are recordings or worse computers replies which do not understand what your saying..

You know what razor shaves a lot better than the original Mach 3? The Schick Quattro. The Gillette Proshield is the best razor I've ever used, but they're $6 per cartridge now. They should be throwing in a free stand, shaving cream, brush & bowl for that price.

Just a loose handle with loose razors. Don’t expect the razor holder that was previously standard. Be ready to keep your razor directly on your bathroom sink counter and your loose razor blades in a junk drawer.

I hadn't used the Mach 3 since the late 90's. I wish I had never stopped because anything more than 3 blades causes severe irritation, no matter what I tried. I went back to this old Mach 3 with absolutely zero irritation. I would assume because it doesn't have all those unnecessary blades, it's angled, and spaced perfectly. I'm permanently going back to the Mach 3.

I've had 2 of these razors for probably 20 plus years (one for travel). Bought another one recently to keep at another location and to my surprise they're no longer including the plastic storage platform which held the razor in the front and refills in the back. All you get now is a cheap cardboard container for shipping. C'mon Gillette, did it really cost that much to include the holder??? Really disappointing.
