Lubricant is Terrible
Someone changed the lubricant on these blades. It is sticky and almost impossible to remove from your face an neck without getting BACK in the shower. The lubricant is so sticky it literally forms lines dripping off of your face. Totally unnecessary and clearly was not tested properly. You would have to be foolish to think this adds something to the shave. I have an expensive handle from Art of Shaving that takes these blades and I will now have to forego its use because I need a new razor blade that doesn't make a mess like this. 30+ year customer lost.

Awful Blue Strip
The new blue strip is awful. Been using Mach 3 for 20 years. Leaves a sticky and nasty goo! I’m changing products. Can’t even use the 9 remaining. Trash can!

New cartridges are completely unusable
As a woman, I have used the Mach 3 razor for over 10 years. I had always loved the product and could even shave small areas without shaving cream if needed. I always had a great shave without issues. But with these 'new and improved" razor heads, the shave is absolutely terrible. Even with shaving cream I have cut myself so many times and the shave is terrible. I've been getting terrible razor burn, itchiness, ingrown hairs whereas I never had those things before. I had always chosen the true Mach 3 cartridges as they were always the best, now they barely compare to the generic brands. As many of the other recent commenters, I will be buying another brand of razor and using that since these new blades are unusable. I'm hoping this change is reversed as it is not a good one and has completely ruined the product. I'm hoping you will take these reviews into consideration and go back to the product that everyone likes.

Not happy loyal customer....
I have been using Mach3 razors for many tears, probably 30. I got my last order (Amazon) and right away look different. Didn't know Gillete changed the lub strip. I thought was a "fake" product as the package says is made in Poland and the above change. That's why I ended here. Whatever you did, it was definitively in the wrong direction. The strip gets super "gluey", like if the blade has been underwater for a week. Not sure if this has anything to do, but a brand new blade feels like is 1 month old and ready to be replaced. Are you going to do smthg about it? If yes, what is the plan? Thanks.

New Lubricating strip is bad!
I have been using mac 3 Razors for 5 years I shave my head and face every other day. They have worked amazing. However recently as of 6/1/2025 they changed the lubricating strip. I have had more cuts (one deep cut on my hear) in the two weeks of the new razors than I had in 5 years of using the old razors

New Lubrication Strips are AWFUL
These razors have been the ones I have used since I was 15 and started shaving. They were fine and lasted a few shaves up until the lubrication strip was 'upgraded' now they last not even one before just sliding around my face and not cutting the hair, while giving me atrocious razor burn. Bring back the old lubrication strips!

Not a Good Shave
I have been using Gillette Mach3 blades for years, and purchased this version for the first time. The top part, which I believe is what is called the skin guard, makes shaving more tedious and the razor glide less. I also find the blade less easy to clear out between shaves.

Should not have changed
The new dark blue strip is terrible. Blades seem different too. Have been using for 20 years and never had ingrown hairs until this new style.

I have been using the Gillette Mach 3 blades for many many years and have noticed in the last year a significant quality reduction I am only able to get three or four shades before it is very uncomfortable to shave with this blade! I really only get a good clean shave the first two shaves!

This ibught when it first came ut it is also the one I used on my head andvwith fresh blades my intimate areas ir is by far one of the best blades I used until fusion5 came out with the swivel head but still use the mach3 on occasion been awhile but still have some new blades and handle it's usually the one I travel with the most

Quality control has gone downhill
I’ve used these razors for several years.The last six months I’ve bought several packs of the replacement heads, your quality control went downhill considerably. A couple of times I put brand new blades on, and they are just rough as hell, seriously thinking of switching to another brand or something. Just getting tired of these not having sharp blades anymore, even right out the package. Used to be able to get several shaves out of one new head, but there’s been times I put a brand new ahead on and just throw it away cause it’s useless. Sincerely, long time user.

Quality of product down
This was my favorite razor to use. They changed the lubricating strip on top of the blades. Quality has gone down and they increase the price. Shameless.

Quality has gone
I have used Mach 3 for many years to shave my face and I agree with others who say the quality has gone down in the last few years. I find that the cartridges will not connect to the razor 45 percent of the time. I did get a refund for that once, but the new cartridges were no better; and yes, I did try a new handle and got the same results.

Deceptive title and description
The description on this product feels deceptive, promising one razor and two razor refill cartridges. It is actually just one handle and two razors, which I would call two razors total. It's still not a bad deal, but there's no need for them to do this other than to confuse potential buyers. They easily could make their packaging and title better represent what you get, but they decided not to, and that feels deceptive and doesn't leave buyers like me with a good feeling.
