Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Q: What material are these leggings? Are they cotton? Specs say Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX certified but I am unsure of what that means? Can this type of fabric be dyed like for tie dye? Or is this not recommended for this type of fabric?

  • A: Hi Kat! Contents of this legging is cotton 95% / spandex 5%. Oeko-tex certified means that everything from the dyes and fabrics to accessories are tested and verified as free from harmful levels of more than 300 substances.Regarding tie-dye, you can dye this legging by yourself as it's a normal fabric. But we do not recommend dyeing on denim impression.

I bought a bunch of these and all of them were size small. However, the white pair said S (6/6x) while the others said S (6/7). The 6x ones are the only appropriate size and the rest are just long pants! This seems like a sizing oversight because I want more of the 6/6x ones.

I orderd multiple pairs of several colors of these capri leggings for my twin girls. The faux demin color is the only one I would call a capri. Black, pink, and lavendar are all much longer in the leg than what I would classify as a capri. Target, please ensure the manufacturer makes these the same leg length in each color offered. Very disappointed with these.

First order based on measurement sizes came in huge. Second order arrived & 7 pairs are full length labeled as capris, the one pair is correct. I'm not sure how they can send multiple sets of the same thing with completely different lengths & assume it's correct. There is absolutely no quality control at all. Complete waste of time.

Waist was fine, but they were almost as long as my daughters full length cat and jack leggings. I have a pair or cat and jack capris from a few months back that are definitely capri length, these are not. Not sure if it’s the new style or a mistake on packaging—sticker and tag both said capri

These capri leggings should not be described as capri lenght. They are much longer than the ankles. I even compared thgem to the "regular" leggings and they are the same lenght. Very dissspointed as I really want capri's for spring. I just have more pairs of regular leggings. I find that the Target descriptions are often inaccurate.

My girls have been wearing these capri leggings for years - I buy them constantly. Today I received my order and I am NOT happy. Clearly we have a qualify control Issue. Look at this difference between the black and the denim blue. These are same exact size (or they should be). And apparently not sold in stores anymore so I can’t even go in there to find black ones that are correct
