Grace and the Sacraments - by Michael (Paperback)

About the Book

Salvation is entirely dependent upon the grace of Almighty God, yet it requires the active cooperation of the human will. In this rigorous catechetical exposition, Fr. Michael Mueller explains the absolute necessity, nature, and effects of divine grace. He demonstrates how God anticipates and assists the soul, while leaving man perfectly free to choose life or death. Dear Reader, this work clarifies the grave obligation to perform good works and the severe danger of resisting divine inspirations. Mueller systematically unfolds how the merits of Jesus Christ are not merely theoretical but are practically applied to the soul through the seven sacraments, which serve as the visible channels of invisible grace. This is a definitive guide to understanding how justification is obtained, how habitual grace is preserved, and how the soul is ultimately transformed into the true image of Christ crucified.
