Harbor Queen Bed with Upholstered Headboard, Blonde/Swiss Coffee (MD2411-01)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great. It is a little light an we have wood floors so it shifts a bit when we get on or off the bed. Would recommend getting rubber pads or having a rug under.

We wanted to downside from our king to a queen and love the size and look. The wood is soft so have to be careful not to dent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cut bed frame but it was one of the most difficult pieces of furniture I have ever had to build. The headboard was very tricky due to the types of screws used and the instructions were a bit confusing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the final product looks nice, the assembly took hours and a lot of physical exertion (I have blisters on my hands). The screws did not line up easily with the holes and it required immense screwing and un screwing and re screwing to get it all together.

We love the bed. The value for the money is excellent. It was shipped in a timely manner and securely packaged. Went together pretty easily and looks very nice in our new home.

DO NOT purchase this bed. Terrible quality. Corners are not matching up, a side plank is cracked and the fabric seams are visible and unfinished from the front and not hidden. Of course the website makes the bed look nice, but quality is very bad. Do yourself a favor and spend money on quality. We couldn’t even finish assembling the bed before we decided to take it down and return it.

I did add extra quilting padding to the headboard when I put it together, so there would be no line in the middle of the headboard. It would have been easier to put together with 2 people but manageable with on and few stacks of books to hold up the ends when finishing the final assembly. A great bead for the Price. Would definitely recommend if your on the fence.

After I bought the midcentury modern dining table, which was lovely, I decided to also get the Harbor bed and nightstand in walnut finish. Unfortunately, this collection was disappointing. Firstly, it seemed to be outsourced to a different manufacturer - not a true Plank + Beam collection like the midcentury modern dining table. Second, the finish was also not as nice as the dining table - it seemed like cheap stain on pine rather than the quality finish of the dining table. Third, the Harbor nightstand top was scratched when I unpacked it. And fourth, the Harbor bed had an odd design in which the metal support beam was to be bracketed onto a wooden block which was shoddily stapled to the bed frame. The block fell off the frame during assembly, and so I had to jury-rig it by putting the bracket directly on the frame. The bed does not feel very sturdy, and the support legs that run down the middle of the bed do not stay put - if the bed gets jostled the center legs get pushed askance. The experience with the Harbor set did not live up to the expectations set by the much nicer Midcentury piece.

The fabric is much more yellow than is pictured in the website. Disappointed.
