Uses LED bulb instead of incandescent
I was very disappointed when I got the lamp because I did not read the description carefully when I ordered it; this lamp has only an LED bulb. The salt lamps need heat to activate so this type of bulb will heat the rock to produce negative ions. This salt lamp is for looks only and I regret the purchase.

Love the compaxt size!
This little treasure stands all of 5" tall and is about 3 1/2 " at widest part. ...attached to a 2 1/2 " diameter wooden base. I like it so much, I'm going to get an adapter so I can use it from a wall plug. The tiny light bulb is permanently attached -- don't know if it's able to be replaced.

Much smaller than I expected, should have read the details better. does put out a beautiful amber glow.
