    Hormel Black Label Bacon - delicious as always!

    I buy this weekly

    The center, thick cut bacon is all I buy and have noticed that to meet weight you will put very thin slices into the package.. if your gonna charge a premium then weight shouldn't be your first concern.. put 12 slices the same thickness. If weight fluctuations are tiny then QUALITY not quantity should be your main concern... I would much rather have a consistent thickness per slice...

    Debating on buying again

    I recently switched to your brand because of the Apple smoked flavor but may go back to previous brand. Not only are your packages starting to contain less and less but now they hardly have any actual meat on them. The package we got today in our order was 80% fat. This is just ridiculous

    I won't be buying it again

    My fault I thought I was buying a different brand because of the packaging. The fat was way out of portioning for the price I could have bought the regular sliced and put two together. But even then the fat to meat ratio was way off - I didn't want pork crackling

    Hit and miss

    I've noticed each product as time goes by the quality of the bacon is no good. Even when the expiration date is a few weeks out. This brand would be the only one we would purchase and now we avoid it.

    Black label is the only bacon brand we buy.

    My family loves black label, it makes the best breakfast pairing and the best BLT's. We like crispy bacon, so we make it hot and fast. The only complaint I have is that they no longer make the hickory smoked version. It was so good! Other brands have it, but it isn't the same. I hope they bring it back one day.

    I would buy again, just hope quality control can do better

    The bacon i purchased today was just of poor quality. Each piece pulled apart in strands and was difficult to cook. I got one full slice out out 7 slices I pulled apart. I have pictures and more then happy to share them. I would appreciate a refund as I thre the rest away because it was just roo annoying to deal with.

    What happened?

    I have enjoyed your original black label as a true example of quality bacon for look texture and flavor. I just cooked a full package the color smell were off the whole time cooking. The bacon never seemed to crisp up like normal, then seemed to want to burn on low heat.now I have eaten this product since I was a child, and I don't think I will buy this bacon again. Even my dog passed on a piece and left it. Please change what ever is different back to the Original Black Label.

    product is great but hate the uneven slices

    product is great, but one suggestion, stop cutting it for weight and cut for accuracy, id rather pay more or less than to have such an uneven slices. guess, anyone not microwaving has no problem

    I would not buy black label microwave bacon again

    I have bought two different packages of Hormel microwave bacon and both have had bore taint. They smelled so bad I could not eat them. I will no be buying this product again.

    I will never buy this again!

    I opened a package of Hormel Black Label Original bacon. I was greatly impressed I had scored an excellent cut!! Very even in the meat and fat! Cut it up in pieces to put in greens. It would not brown, no grease, just a watery substance. Also…absolutely no Smokey odor of REAL bacon. I continued to try to brown it. No wonderful smell of bacon. Kind of a funky odor emitted from the pan. I thought maybe my smeller was off, so I added all the other ingredients. I cannot explain the odor..just nasty! After an hour, I took a tiny taste of the broth. I have never in my life tasted anything so nasty! I threw it all out. Will never but this again!!! What the heck was that??? Definitely not smoked pork bacon! The ingredients do not even list pork on the list. 🤷‍♀️. 🤢🤢

    We are being robbed!

    I got home today with my Hormel black label center cut bacon to make a recipe. When I pulled back the black label, the stack of bacon looked smaller than usual. I decided to weigh it with the packaging and it was 11.7 ounces!!! I pay top dollar for this brand because we love center cut. It's usually a lot of meat, but this time it's loaded with fat! As someone who buys this product often, I'm so disappointed.
