I have used this bacon for last few years because my stove does not work. It use to be really good bacon but lately it's not cooking right. It's seems super fatty and it lays on top of each other where it does not cook. Bacon is really expensive to have to throw out.

I used to buy this weekly and it was always good. As of late, the last few boxes I have purchased have been utter rubbish. The bacon is mostly just fat and tastes extremely greasy and terrible and the cooking results are very hit or miss, sometimes 2 1/2 minutes leaves everything underdone and sometimes it practically crisps the bacon and overcooks it. I'm sure, like every other company on the planet, they have cheapened the product and cut costs on everything and it shows. I expected much better from an established name in the food industry. Unless they're going to prove a redo of this product, I won't be buying again.

I've bought this twice in the last month. The 2 middle pieces don't cook while the outside pieces burn up. It smells weird. Honestly, like a straight pig. I had to throw all of it away. I wasted almost $20.00

First if all, there is nothing remotely bad about Hormel bacon. Except when my store is out of it. That's it. The only negative. It cooks fast. It tastes awesome. Everyone in this house loves it. And should a random piece find it's way to the floor? Our dog, Bob Barker agrees - Hormel Black Label bacon is the best.

Microwaved according to package directions…….half over cooked other half raw. Cut them. Half and still had to pan fry.

I've been buying this for about 4 years. This last package of original was almost all fat and thick. You never know what it's going to be like. Each package is different. Some thicker and some mostly fat. We liked the taste of it and price but I may have to go back to another brand. I just tried to do the little smokie wraps and this package of bacon was horrible.

4 times in 5, the plastic bag pops I've tried folding the ends under... helped once (and that might not have popped anyway I like your product, and it's amazing when the hot air steams the bacon. When it pops, half the time it's just not worth the extra price

The bacon in the package looked great but when it came time to cook it would not separate, was stringing, too much fat, and stuck to the pan. The cheap off brand is much better.

I bought this bacon an ago & it was great! I loved it so much and my whole family started buying it too! But now, it's very thin, smells awful and the taste is different. Have to find a new brand now.

I am 86 and not inclined to writing reviews however this box of microwave bacon would not crisp up no matter the time and melted down swimming in a lake of fat.

I have been buying this bacon for years, the past few times it has been worse. It is thinner and fattier. Almost every single piece is a full slice of fat, with maybe 10-15% meat along one edge. And even when I carefully peel them apart, they are so thin that some of them break in half. Much thinner than they used to be. There literally isn't even a section of meat large or thick enough for me to grab with my fingers anymore, so I have to grab the fat and my hands are covered in fat afterwards. It also smells different. Now I have to find a totally different bacon because this one changed, until I find out that it has gone back to what it used to be. I used to like it.

Definitely not what I expected... The bacon cooked unevenly...doesn't smell like bacon either. I thought for the price it would be better, but I don't really care for the quality and will stick to the fully cooked bacon instead.

Looked so good in the package till I opened it. Very odd smell and didnt taste anything like it should have. Maybe wrong product in the wrong package???? Returned to store and tried a second package and it was the same. I have never eaten bacon that wasnt very good. This I will never try again and no I dont want a free item. The texture wasnt even like bacon

I would like some answers about what has changed with this bacon. I bought this yesterday and placed in refrigerator. I got it out this morning and tried to cut in half and it wouldn't cut correctly. It was stringy and weird. I have never seen bacon do that and I have been eating bacon all my life. It doesn't even smell like bacon. Please explain if this is fake meat or what?

Its more expensive because it comes in special packaging that supposed to cook it well but it does not work. Half the bacon is burned, the other half raw, it all went in the trash. Stick with the cheaper stuff, its way better!!

Yikes. I’ve never had to think about what raw bacon should look like before opening this package. Surely, I thought, this can’t all be fat over here and this tiny sliver over here is meat? I now know for sure that bacon shouldn’t look like mine does because I couldn’t even use the last slices in the package, they fell apart when I tried to separate them. Would not recommend
