If iodized salt is added to our product, it would be declared on the label. Sea Salt will not always be declared on the label as Sea Salt. I really like to cook and I do it almost every day. I very often use tomato sauce or tomato paste and often buy this company. Tomato paste of good quality, has a pleasant aroma and texture. I removed 1 star because the can is a little difficult to open. Pasta can be stored for a long time, there are several size options.

I didn't read the information carefully enough, and so was not aware that these are the tiny cans. The tomato paste is good quality, thick, with good flavor. Low sodium is good for those of us who watch our sodium, and doesn't matter to those who don't, because you can always add salt to taste. I use this in spaghetti sauce; given that I cook a lot of pasta for any given meal, I have to use 4 cans of this size for one batch. It's also a convenient size for adding tomato paste when called for in a recipe.

I bought a 12 Ounce can of Hunts Tomato paste to make spaghetti. Ick … something rotten was in the middle of the can. Expiration date on the can is sept 7 2025. Maybe they need to do a recall. Wish I could attach the pic I took. Here’s the other info on the can 2105335120A07: 03Y.

I love this product. I use this when I make a sauce and all I have to do it add in a cup or water with it. We also love the flavor, although I do add spices to it. The can is so sturdy too which is helpful.

I've been using Hunts Tomato Paste for over 50 years and I'm noticing this last while, I have to add a large amount of brown sugar to stop it from being so tart. Has the recipe been changed? Do you have any idea why this is happening?

I’m upset that you decided to make a different bottom to the can than the top, I use to be able to remove both ends and push the paste out with no waste now I have to scoop it out and it takes to long and I can’t get it all out.

I got this can today 6.21.2023 it does expire on 12 2024 , and guess what!!!! When I opened it it popped and scared me and boom !! It’s bad it has mold and smells so so bad couldn’t wait to the picture and dump it!! Who should we blame target or hunts ….

I have used the tomato paste for years to make my own sauce. This last time when I opened the cans all three had the middle missing (much like the review from Seattle) I believe I was missing 25 to 50% of the paste that should have been in the cans. I hope this is not their way of avoiding a price increase by decreasing the contents.

When I opened the can of tomato paste it had a giant compressed center that looked like someone stuck a rod or something into the can. I took a photo of it but I can't seem to find a place to submit it.

I bought 5 cans for pickup at Walmart. When I got home I saw that one of them had a black smear on the side near the top. I opened it with my electric canopener and saw splotches of mold inside. I have used this for years and this is the first time I ever had such an experience. I wish I could attach a picture. It was unique and shocking! Is this Hunts fault or Walmart’s fault

Been using your products for 40 odd years, recently bought several large tins (369g, lot #7429 2122 20 10:57 2 R) of your tomato paste, it's was terrible, very loose, not thick at all, had to add corn starch to thicken sauce. I guess like everything these days, profits over quality. Absolutely dissatisfied, will be looking at other products.
