Great Feel, But Buggy Execution and Sleep Pop-Ups Ruin the Flow
I purchased the HyperX Pulsefire Saga Pro Wireless Mouse in late March 2025, specifically for its “Instant Pair” feature, which was advertised to work seamlessly with the Omen Max 16 laptop. Before the laptop arrived, I used the mouse with my HP Spectre via the dongle and Bluetooth, and it worked fine for standard use. However, once I received the Omen Max and attempted to use the Instant Pair functionality, things got buggy fast. It was difficult to get the feature working at all without the dongle. When it did connect, the mouse became extremely laggy with the NGENUITY software running. Oddly, the performance improved slightly when the software was closed, but even then, there was noticeable lag and the scroll wheel wouldn’t function. Bluetooth continued to work fine throughout, but at some point, the dongle stopped working entirely and it no longer pairs or responds at all, even with other devices. In June 2025, I revisited the issue and came across a Reddit post from HyperX that mentioned a firmware update. After updating both the mouse and dongle firmware, the Instant Pair feature finally started working as originally advertised, being smooth and responsive. That said, the dongle still doesn’t function at all anymore after attempting to switch modes, so I can’t use this mouse with other devices unless I switch to Bluetooth. On the plus side, the mouse feels great in the hand. I added rubber grips to the left and right buttons, which significantly improved the tactile feel. Battery life is solid as well. Now for the deal-breakers -The mouse goes into auto-sleep after just 15–30 seconds of inactivity. -Every time it wakes and re-pairs via Instant Pair, a distracting pop-up appears in the lower-right corner of the screen. There’s currently no way to disable or customize this behavior, which disrupts the experience far more than it should. If it weren’t for those two issues, I would’ve rated this 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, they’re frustrating enough to dock it down to a 3. Please HyperX give us a way to toggle that pop-up off and customize the sleep timeout. For anyone considering this mouse, you’re probably in the market for either a lightweight feel or the Instant Pair feature. If it’s the latter, make sure you perform the firmware updates right out of the box or you may run into the same headaches I did.

Excellent gaming mouse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really enjoy the ease of use of this mouse. Battery life is solid, up to 90 hours, easily rechargeable. I like that you can connect over Bluetooth or with the USB connector. The customization of this mouse is what makes it a standout. Light color and structure of the mouse are all customizable, overall great for gaming and everyday work use.

Will get the job done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been daily driving this mouse for about 2 weeks now. As far as gaming mouses go i would say is about average. It does lack any built in DPI adjustments and only has 2 side buttons. I did not install the software to go along with it but it does seem to last multiple days without plugging it in. Over all it works and the customization is a nice feature.

Great quality, genius design!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, this mouse is CRAZY lightweight. Features are everything you’d expect from a quality gaming mouse. It connects via Bluetooth once you install the software, but comes with a USB dongle if your device doesn’t have Bluetooth - there is a spot inside the mouse to store the dongle so you don’t lose it if not in use. Now for the fun features - it comes with two different plates for the buttons and palm rest for a more customizable fit. These hold secure, but slide easily apart with the use of magnets. You can custom print your own plates as well - they make it so easy by providing the files. The design makes it easier to print as well, as there is no precision magnet placement on the shell - the magnets are in place on the core and the shell has strategically placed screws for the magnets to hold to. The kit even comes with additional stick-on grips and bottom slides to perfect the fit and function of your custom printed pieces. The quality of the mouse is everything you’d want in a gaming mouse, but the additional feature of fully customizable designs makes this super unique. They really put a lot of thought into to the build and design to make this feature super easy to do for anyone with a 3-d printer.

Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HyperX Pulsefire Saga Pro is a fantastic wireless gaming mouse—lightweight, comfortable, and super responsive. It’s only 72g, so it moves smoothly without feeling heavy. The interchangeable parts let you adjust it to fit your grip style, which is a nice touch. It connects wirelessly in two ways: via a USB dongle (2.4GHz) or Bluetooth. The battery life is amazing—up to 90 hours, so you won’t be charging it all the time. Clicks feel sharp and responsive, thanks to the HyperX Optical Switches. To customize buttons and settings, you’ll need the HyperX NGENUITY software (free on the Microsoft Store). Pros: ✔ Super lightweight and comfy ✔ Long battery life ✔ Fast, smooth performance Cons: ✖ Needs software for full customization ✖ USB dongle required for the best wireless connection Overall, it’s a great mouse for gaming—responsive, comfortable, and built to last!
