A: A traditional bed skirt, like our eyelet, would not work for a day bed since it has a skirt that hangs on three sides: the 2 long sides (left & right), and the foot (bottom) of the bed. The back side (head of the bed) does not have a skirt.
Typically for daybeds, there are special bed skirts which have a skirt that hangs on 1 long side (front) and the 2 ends (short sides).

I bought this for our guest bedroom that has ivory sheets and a quilt somewhere between teal and aqua. Between the bedskirt, an ivory blanket throw, and an ivory throw pillow, the teal/aqua color is toned down nicely.
