Book Synopsis

From high fashion to historical events, Teller's array of recent photographs underscores his unique subversive style within popular culture

Published with Onassis Stegi, Athens.

Featuring over 500 images, Juergen Teller's (born 1964) latest book, You Are Invited, is an extensive collection of his past and present work, exploring familial and universal stories of love, trust, hope, fertility, the environment, politics and religion. The project captures Teller's ongoing creative evolution, catalyzed by recent commissions such as documenting Pope Francis visiting a women's prison during the 2024 Venice Biennale. You Are Invited also includes important personal series such as "We Are Building Our Future Together," "The Myth" and "Guten Morgen Sonnenschein"--made with his wife and creative partner, Dovile Drizyte--as well as the hitherto-unpublished project Symposium of Love, informed by Greek mythology and specifically created for the exhibition and book.
