[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jumanji: Wild Adventures tries to bring the thrill of the jungle and the charm of its cinematic counterpart to the world of video games—but doesn’t always stick the landing. Set in the ever-shifting, danger-filled world of Jumanji, the game tasks players with surviving treacherous terrain, solving puzzles, and battling enemies while working together as a team. The gameplay is built around co-op adventure mechanics, letting up to four players take on the roles of the now-familiar avatars: Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, and Professor Oberon. Each character has unique abilities that tie into light combat, platforming, and puzzle-solving. The level design is visually colorful and does a good job capturing the wild, unpredictable nature of Jumanji’s world. However, the game suffers from repetitive missions, shallow combat mechanics, and a lack of meaningful progression. While it can be fun in short bursts—especially with friends or younger players—the overall experience feels like it plays it too safe. Technical hiccups, clunky controls, and occasionally awkward animations also hold it back from being a truly memorable adventure.

The game is overall fun to play. However, there are times it will glitch so we normally have to go back to the last checkpoint to continue playing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd have to say I found the game to be surprisingly decent; most of the time games based off of movies are pretty bad, but this one is enjoyable to play. It felt like a classic platformer from the 90's with some modern visuals. Level design kept the game fresh and exciting with each new area unlocked. Character upgrades felt rewarding. I liked that the game has a difficulty option with infinite lives--I feel like that keeps the game accessible for players of any age/skill level. I thankfully didn't experience any bugs or performance issues. Overall, the game was surprisingly not bad although it is nothing to write home about.
