    Not as advertised

    The description says euro style closure (envelope) but they have zippers. This severely cuts down on the longevity of silk pillowcases, as the fabric & stitching of the zipper is stronger than the silk, so use of the zipper eventually results in the fabric ripping and the zipper falling out. I bought two of these several years ago & they do have envelope closures, I don't know why this has changed. Very disappointing, please update the description.

    Falsely advertised as European-style closure

    This is not the Euro-style closure that they advertised. It is, instead, a hidden zipper closure. I had wanted pillowcases without zippers, because the silk around the zipper is what breaks down after washing and makes the pillow unusable. European-style closures are like envelopes, with no zipper. This is not that. Disappointed.

    I love how everyone dislikes the comments of the bad reviews because we know how expensive silk is and to get this at such a good price is definitely a win! I find no faults. This is for a queen sized pillow. If you have a standard yes the closure will extend farther than your pillow. But other than that it's real silk and that's my favorite part next to the great price.

    Real silk!

    Love this pillowcase! I had been looking for a pure silk case as I don’t use any synthetic bedding and was very happy with this purchase. My daughter and I both have one and have been using them nightly for about a year and they are going strong. I did have to repair a seem in my case after machine washing but my daughters is in perfect condition a year later. I would recommend hand washing to avoid any repairs. I am ordering more pillowcases for relatives.

    Real silk with sateen weave

    I would like to correct the most recent review (below mine) stating that this pillowcase is sateen and not real silk. Sateen is actually a type of weave, NOT a type of fabric. Any fabric, from polyester to cotton to silk, can come in sateen. This pillowcase is in fact 100% silk, it's just woven sateen, which is why the inside is flat and the outside is shiny. I personally really like this because it allows me to fold the pillowcases inside out to protect the shiny side! Also, do handwash. I personally use Woolite delicates.

    its not real silk :(

    NOT REAL SILK . Stated 100% silk but is also labeled sateen which is a Cotten synthetic blend with shiny finish. It’s a good pillow case but not real silk. Bummed. I’ve been using mulberry silk pillow cases for years and was gifted this one. My hair hasn’t been frizzier. Ps you don’t need to hand wash since it isn’t real
