We did the Monster Match...and LOVED it!

The artwork and setup of the game is adorable! What a great way to practice quick analysis and reflexes. Simple enough for your youngest kids to play, but fun for the whole family. My kids are already thinking about adding in their own monsters to give the game a bit of personalized flavor.

This has been a really fun game to play as a family or just the kids playing with their friends. Kids between the ages of 7 and 10 can play it totally unsupervised and have a blast. When Mom and Dad get to play, we love it as well

We played the game with only two people and it was extremely quick. There is an aspect of chance because of the dice but the games tend to pass quickly even when cards couldn’t be selected. Overall entertaining but the games tend seems like it can get repetitive due to its simple nature.

Monster Match Review

Overall, I had a really fun time playing this game. It’s perfect for kids and the rules are straightforward. Pros: Card designs are fantastic! Love the drawings on all the cards. The use of packaging as part of the game is a fantastic use of materials. Gameplay is entertaining and each round of games is quick and competitive. Cons: Unclear what the tiebreaker would be if two or more players picked a card at the same time.

This game is really fun and quick! I played several rounds with my teenager and husband and we all had a blast, laughing at every turn and competing to be the fastest at matching a monster! My husband suggests calling out your roll every time so that everyone can hear. I can see myself playing this game with my young nieces and nephews. It's quick and fun and will keep their attention for at least one whole round.

Monstrously fun!

When I asked my kids how they felt about Monster Match, my 9 year old son JP responded, “I love this game, it is awesome! This game is the best game for kids of all ages. It is 'monstrously' fun ;)" and my 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter both responded with "love it”.This is the only matching game to engage my kids. The 3 of them did not want to stop playing and tried to stretch the game out by trading monsters afterwards. As a family practice MD, I love the way the game engages rapid visuospatial processing along with hand eye coordination without amping up competitiveness. Since everyone can only take one card, by the end of the game my older kids were helping my younger one find a match to make sure that she wasn’t left out of the round. I loved seeing my kids help each other within a competitive game. The tower makes rolling the dice fun and overall the game is super easy to take out and put away. This morning, my kids had pulled it out and were playing it on their own! 5 stars.

Was able to play a few rounds with my 3 year old and he loved it. It’s very simple and straight forward. Excellent game that uses matching, quick thinking, and counting. I love how fast it sets up and plays. As fun playing with 2 or 4 players. Great gift for those with little ones and would make a great stocking stuffer. Will be using this with my clients at work (I’m a child therapist.)

Monster Mash was so fun!

We had a lot of fun playing the game! It made us feel like kids again. Here are a few notes that we had:1. First roll of the game had to add 10 more. I think adding 10 cards every time can become a little overwhelming. We think lowering the amount of cards would be better for younger kids.2. We recommend adding challenges for the older kids, for example the first person to find a card is the only one who gets to keep the card and gets the point. Another option could be adding a time limit to how long you can take to be able to grab a card. At one point 2 of 3 of us found a card and the last girl didn’t find her card until we were already telling her to start rollingOverall super fun! We are a competitive group of girls so we all wanted to win. Haha. Will try tonight with kids

Faced paced and fun to play

Played the game. Overall we enjoyed it. It was fast paced and moved along. It didn’t take forever to finish. Really liked dropping the dice through the monster and how you had to think and quickly touch the card. It kept everyone playing engaged. Some monsters’ arms and legs were confusing and couldn’t tell what they were. Didn’t like the rule to put 10 more cards down if there wasn’t a match. Too many cards on the table. Lola also doesn’t like the font on the box. Lol. It’s a fun game, especially for younger kids.

This game is super simple and quick to set up- you can pick up and play in literally a minute or two. The design and style are bright and colorful and definitely should be a good hit with younger kids. If you are looking for something with depth and strategy, this might not be the best game for you. But if you want a fun way to test your processing and reflexes at any age, consider giving this game a try!

A Child Care Director's Review - My younger, 3 year old students caught on quickly, while the older ones (4-5) kept the game competitive throughout the whole deck! During the third game, a card was picked up and bent a bit by smaller fingers. However, unlike 'hidden' card games that can't afford to lose or scuff up the cards; Monster Match still plays great! Overall it's a great addition to our game shelf!

Great game for kids AND adults!

Played at a family party with a group of 5 cousins younger than 6. It was fast and easy to explain how the game worked to them. They giggled and laughed until the deck was gone. I did have to remind them to only use ONE finger not the whole hand so we don't hurt anyone. Then I took the game to a friend's game night with 10 adults over the age of 21. They thought it was a little silly kids game at first. But after the first 2 rounds the game became very competitive. There was lots of yelling and laughing. Overall a very cute FAST game that anyone can play and enjoy. Highly recommend for those that do not have the attention span to play more complex games. A game round lasts mere seconds and the whole game can be over in 10 minutes. LOVE the Monster Dice Tower that comes PREASSEMBLED. No seriously thank you I would never have been able to put that together. Wish there were more dice to choose from/add. A die showing options for the color of the monsters, or a die showing accessories/hats . These would be fun to mix the game up.

The game is very easy to understand! I played a few rounds with a group of friends (we're all in our early 20s) and we had a blast! The game was so fun, and I will definitely be bringing it to future parties and hang outs! It's a quick-paced game that's very easy to understand and gets everyone together!!

Finally a game that I can play with the kids that is both fun and competitive, regardless of my vastly superior experience and skills. Jokes aside, they've done a good job of leveling the playing field between adults and young children. 5 stars!

I think the game was so much fun to play with my 4 year old nephew. It was a learning game to be counting the feet arms and eyes on the monsters, improving his dexterity, and helping with point counting. The dice were great in helping him recognize number and letters, and we played for about 2 hours. I think the game is great for kids and fun for adults too! I have no notes. My nephew is already begging to play more!!

The game is very easy to comprehend. We loved the fast pace and the quick searching. Had players from 6 to 36 all join in and had a blast. The rules were easy to understand and everyone got the hang of it very quickly, even with brief instruction. It was nice having the challenge of making sure you matched the correct monsters and was funny whenever mistake were made. All in all, a great game and my family would definitely recommend it.

Kids keep playing it

I played Monster Match with three of my kids a few days ago, and now my 6-year-old won't put it down. Every time one of his friends comes over, he pulls it off the shelf and says, "Check this out." They broke my coffee table earlier today playing it, so make sure your table is sturdy if you have a group of rambunctious boys slapping it 😅

Monster March is a fast paced and fun 2-6 player game that tasks players with quickly spotting and selecting monsters that fit the criteria of the random dice drops. The setup is very easy and intuitive, using part of the box as the gameboard. The instructions are extremely easy to grasp and implement and even cover the possibility of a stalemate with no monsters selected.Visually, the various monster designs are unique and fun, the dice look great and are easy to read/decipher, and the board pops with color.Overall, this is a very fun family game that's great for two players (how we played), all the way up to six.
